25.01.2022 We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Safe and Happy New Year. Thankyou to all our customers for your loyalty and for shopping locally! The shop will be closing at 4pm today, 21st December. Sharon will reopen on Friday 11th January after a short break. Sit and sew for January, classes to resume the week of 29th January.

24.01.2022 We are back! Classes resumed today with lots of eager patchworkers starting on their first block of many! We are working through Tula Pink’s City Sampler. How many will we finish? 14.01.2022 Have you heard of Healing Hearts quilts? Kiwiquilts (a Facebook group) have been making quilts for those affected by traumatic events for years now, and Angels in Gumboots have offered to help organise and coordinate Healing Hearts quilts for Christchurch. They have a lofty goal of making 100 quilts. They need blocks... and lots of lots of them! We at Belmont Patchwork Heart are helping out! Pattern will be available in class this week, or here on Facebook . Bring along you...r green and white scraps and make a few blocks in class. I know how much you are loving making 6 1/2 blocks Last collection day will be Friday 29th March. Anyone is welcome to drop some into the shop. Important! Blocks to be 6 1/2 (unfinished) with a green heart and white background but must not contain red or prints with animals, people, faces and figures. You can use the pattern provided or make up your own!

09.01.2022 It’s a lovely day for a drive in the country! Why not visit Quiltarama in Clarence town, run by the CWA. Over 60 quilts on display, yummy scones for morning tea and lots of goodies to buy. Sharon has a stand, pop in and say hello! 10-4 today, 10-3 Sunday at the Clarence Town School of Arts Hall and the Senior Citizens Centre.

03.01.2022 Merilyn finished her Summer Holiday quilt over the summer holidays How amazing is this version of our row of the month quilt from last year. Completed in blacks and whites this quilt is just stunning!

01.01.2022 Wow the year is coming to an end and that means our ‘Summer Holiday’ row of the month quilts are almost done! I’ll be sharing lots of photos over the next week of our students work. It’s great to see so many different interpretations Our first row was the caravan appliqué. Check out the cute additions. Special mention to Debbie whose caravan is traveling down under
