Lots of fun and some very excited children!

13.01.2022 We have been learning about Dreamtime stories, our Indigenous culture and our beautiful country. We celebrated NAIDOC week together and have continued to learn from Dreamtime books/stories about creation, animals, plants and people of Australia. The children have explored in nature - making up potions and bush tucker food in our mud kitchen. We have used loose parts from nature to make pictures, use sticks and gumnuts and leaves for painting. We made a fire pit, collected sticks and leaves for it and set it on fire. We even got to toast some marshmallows. We discussed how the people used to live on the land and use boomerangs for hunting, fire for cooking, collected plants/ bush tucker to eat. We looked at different animals and their tracks. So much fun exploring and learning about culture.
