23.01.2022 Congratulations to our Bulls team who have won the Peter Russell Trophy at Neutral Bay yet again against a strong field. This was the 70th anniversary of this prestigious trophy and Belrose first won it in 2007. We have now won it 4 out of the last 6 years (2015, 2016, 2019, 2020). The team in the preliminary rounds was: Max Gray, Steve Gliddon, Graham Hartmann and James Brown and in the finals the team was Mick James, Doc Smith, Graham Hartmann and James Brown (shown below w...ith the huge trophy). The final placings were: 1. Belrose BC 2. The Hills BC 3. St. Ives BC 4. Northmead BC Well done to all the players.

22.01.2022 Congratulations to Steve (Lowie) Lowe and James (Brownie) Brown who defeated Andy (Mouse) Townsend and Mike (Doc) Smith in the Club Major Pairs today in very tough, wet conditions. It was a huge game and was close all the way through. Steve now has the CoCC Double, being also our Club Singles Champion. It was a privilege to be able to Live Stream it. 16.01.2022 Rounds 3 (quarter finals) and 4 (semi finals) of our Club Major Pairs were played yesterday in quite good conditions. The afternoon semi final match between the Graham Hartmann/Tony Taylor and Andy Townsend/Mikel Smith teams was live streamed on this page. 15.01.2022 To all our members and friends, please note that Club Belrose will be open for business again following today's announcements by the NSW Govt. The Club will open tomorrow morning within the new guidelines and our Cascades restaurant will be opening on Monday. Contact the club tomorrow for further details. Normal social bowls and practice will commence from tomorrow, weather permitting.... Please observe the Govt guidelines and stay safe.

12.01.2022 HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL FROM THE BULLS It seems like the virus hasn’t left us in peace yet, but we are hoping that 2021 will progress more smoothly than 2020 In the interests of public safety, the club has been closed since 18th December and we are awaiting news from the Government about when we may be able to open again. ... At this morning’s press briefing, Gladys Berejiklian stated that, barring unexpected changes today, the Government is likely to announce the easing of the current restrictions on the southern zone of the Northern Beaches Local Council Area tomorrow. This will (hopefully) mean that we can expect to be back very soon to where we were before this latest Northern Beaches outbreak started. We will notify you as soon as a decision is made by the Board regarding the opening of the club and the re-commencement of Social Bowls and roll-ups/practice. In the meantime, here are a few points to take note of: 1) Zone Fours (Open, Senior and Reserve): Entries are now open and will close (at the club) at 5.00pm on Wed 13th January. 2) Zone Pairs (Open, Senior and Reserve): Entries are now open and will close (at the club) at 5.00pm on Wed 27th January. 3) Please note that the full 2021 Men’s and Women’s Club programs are now on the website. The ‘Home’ page will show you the events for the next four weeks in the ‘EVENTS column, but if you click on the ‘Calendar’ button beneath the events, you will see the entire year’s program. 11.01.2022 Congratulations to Mark Bowen, Andy Townsend and Brad Franklin who defeated Steve Mauger, Graham Hartmann and Tony Taylor 26 - 16 today in our Club Triples final. Tony and the boys got off to a rough start thanks to some great bowling from Franko's team but they fought back to get a chance at winning, however Franko and the boys held on. 05.01.2022 Congratulations to Steve Lowe for winning the Belrose Championship Singles final today against Matthew Blackburn in a fantastic match. Steve pulled away several times during the match but Matt fought back each time to get to a score of 30 all. The last end was a great contest with Matt being very unlucky with his weighted last bowl which moved the jack over near the boundary. Steve was up to the challenge and managed to draw to the jack to win the match 31-30. Well done to both players, a match worthy of a final anywhere. Great bowls to watch.
