This will be starting on 18/7/2020 @ 10.30 am This is limited to 10 teams only, so the first 10 teams on the list are in....I will be contacting all Team contacts this weekend to confirm their team and their players. Please be aware that the person nominated as Team contact must ensure they have a team every week. This will ensure we can all enjoy this comp. There is nothing worse than turning up to play and finding out your opposition doesn’t h...ave a team. If you are unsure of fulfilling this commitment please let me know. Talk to all soon. 23.01.2022 It is with deepest sadness that Belvedere Bowls Club has to advise the passing this morning of our esteemed member Lorraine Jackson. After a long hard battle during which Lorraine was never short of a smile or a laugh, her positive attitude was an inspiration, she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Lindsay and family. Funeral details will be posted once known. Vale Lorraine.

Don’t over indulge on the Easter Eggs, we will eventually get back on the greens and the extra kilos may not help your delivery....LOL. 20.01.2022 For the Attention of Members and Friends, As you all will be aware Victoria, Australia and the rest of the World are facing difficult times with the outbreak of Covid - 19. The Board Of Management have taken the step of closing Belvedere Bowls Club for the foreseeable future, so there will be NO organised activities at the club, this includes all bowls and social activities. Presentation Night, Winter Bowls etc. have been postponed, as and when the situation changes the Board... will re-evaluate and advise members. At this point the A.G.M. in early June may have to be at a later date, this will also be advised to members. Please be aware the Board have not taken this lightly and will, over the coming weeks be in discussion with each other to take whatever steps are necessary to ensure not only the safety and wellbeing of members, but the future of our club. 19.01.2022 !!! IMPORTANT INFORMATION !!! As from Monday 1st June our club will be operating under the Phase 2 guidelines:- 20 people per green The following arrangements are;-... Monday - Roll up (after 12pm) Tuesday - Roll up Wednesday - 10.30am start CLUB SELECTED 3 bowl pairs 15 ends Thursday - 10.30am start NOMINATED 3 bowls pairs 21 ends Friday - Roll up (after 12pm) Saturday - 12pm start CLUB SELECTED 3 bowl pairs 21 ends ROLL UPS You will need to enter your name, phone number, arrival and departure time on the ATTENDANCE SHEET in the Match Committee room this must be adhered too. GREEN FEES - $10.00 Will apply for all social games. The clubrooms are still NOT OPEN so we will be playing straight through. Registration sheets will be in the Match Committee room as per previous arrangements. The Club is still only open to our Members at this stage PS...Have you paid your membership renewal! All other COVID 19 guidelines are still in force ie:- wash mat and jack, social distancing, jack to be moved with foot, BYO water etc STILL NO SPECTATORS Cannot wait to see our bowlers back on our greens. 16.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SATURDAY PENNANT PLAYERS FROM CHAIRMAN OF SELECTORS - Ken Fulton . Teams for Saturday Pennant will be selected on Tuesday afternoon, due to the premature closure of the Clubs Web Page. A new one is being developed with the assistance from Bowls Vic. Teams will only be available via:-... Belvedere Bowls Facebook page, Noticeboard at the Club or by ringing the following Saturday selectors:- Ken Fulton 0403936421, Ann Linhardt or Bob Christie ph. no's in last seasons book. Friday night roll up starts this week 27th November between 4.00 and 6.00om. Numbers may be limited due to Covid19, preference given to workers. Covid restrictions will still apply, bring your own water bottle, sign in and out (using your own pen), obey mask rules and take directions from Covid Marshalls etc. Please note ALL pennant games uniform is compulsory. Check if you are part of a duty rink, if so, please attend earlier to help with set up. Duty rink also includes putting equipment away at the end of the day as well. Team Managers will be named on selection sheets

15.01.2022 COVID - 19 UPDATE.... With the slight easing of some restrictions, we are now allowed to have 32 bowlers on a green, this also means we are allowing visiting bowlers access as well. With this in mind the popular Saturday 2 bowl Triples Winter Comp is being considered, possibly starting in a few weeks time, if you are interested please put your name down on the sheet in the Match Committee Room. Or you can comment on this post with your contact details to show your interest.... Social Bowls times and formats. Wednesday’s 10.30 am - 3 bowl Triples Thursday’s 10.00 am - Men’s only 3 bowl Triples Saturday’s 12.30 pm - Social Bowls, (Various formats) Please follow all COVID-19 guidelines. 13.01.2022 Have heard that our intrepid travellers, Ann Linhardt and Nina Goldsmith have made it back to Aus. After cruising half way round the world, finally got let into a country and managed to get a flight back home......And also just beat the mandatory 14 days in a government regulated hotel. Pretty sure they’ll have a few good stories to tell us all, once we’re back up and running. Welcome back ladies.....

12.01.2022 In 2001 a band called Hedgehoppers Anonymous had a hit with a song called Its Good News Week Well 19 years later It’s Good News Week for Belvedere Bowls Club, All approvals for the commencement of the new clubhouse are done and dusted, Builder has been appointed, works should be commencing around the 2nd or 3rd week in October. So keep your eyes and ears open for updates, (hoping to put some pics up as work progresses, covid 19 allowing) Onwards and Upwards BELVEDERE......

12.01.2022 Update on State Pairs Donna Wood/Julie Harrison and Ken Roberts/Mal Edwards all played extremely well but unfortunately were eliminated in the 1st round. Jim McKenzie/John Ogilvie and David Wood/ David Swalwell all progressed through to the 2nd round after extremely close 1st round games. Unfortunately Jim and John were eliminated on the 2nd round. Congratulation to both David Wood and David Swalwell who progress to the next stage!... All teams represented our club well. Keep watching this page for details of when the boys play next. See more

At this point only 3 sessions per week available.... Wednesday 10 - 12 Thursday 1 - 3 Saturday 1 - 3 YOU MUST BOOK YOUR SESSION TIME FIRST BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO PLAY. 07.01.2022 It is with deepest regret that Belvedere Bowls Club has to advise of the passing this morning of our esteemed member Fred Reid, Fred was one of the longest serving members of Seaford and then Belvedere Bowls, holding many positions over the years, The Friday night members draw will never be the same....
