15.01.2022 Look! I received the best parcel in the mail from the Area 8 students of Fairview Park Primary School. They liked my illustrations in The Wildlife Winter Games and wanted to join in the fun. In the book each of the 30 animals has their own team emblem, so the students decided to make their own laminated versions with a beautifully hand written letter, which they all signed. So cool! Thank you thank you thank you, a goodie-pack is on the way.
14.01.2022 Saturday night Greg Irons, owner of Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary took my close mates on a guided night tour. The sparkling wine, cider, beer and juice was brought out as we had the sanctuary to ourselves with Greg sharing details, education and stories of a wildlife preserver. We saw animals that aren't seen during the day, and the children had a blast with Greg like Santa leading the show.Thank you Greg and staff for inviting us and for bringing out this little girl pictured with myself who hasn't been in public. 09.01.2022 The Wildlife Winter Games launch, with author Richard. What... a... day... Thanks to Matilda Bookshop Harry Hartog Bookseller Dillons Norwood Bookshop for having us, you're very welcoming! The signing finished with a celebration at The Maylands Hotel Thank you to Richards wife and children for the hospitality, and the man himself for showing me around Adelaide. And manager John for the photos, laughs and support. Friends, family, colleagues of Richard's were all the best. Great people, great times, great food. I will visit Adelaide again. 08.01.2022 On the road in Adelaide, promoting The Wildlife Winter Games. Author Richard Turner and myself spent the day at Fairview Park Primary, presenting our collaboration to 249 students. The presentation was in working with the school's own values including questions, advice for creating and ending with a live drawing for each class. This was our first of many school presentations in the planning. Thanks to all at Fairview, I had an amazing time! I'll be back
08.01.2022 This month, 2 years ago I painted the traffic signal box on the corner of Sandy Bay Rd/ St Georges Terrace. The last 2 days painting at the airport I bumped into someone that with their husband learnt some local history because of my (Mary's) mural, and wrote a great story about it. 04.01.2022 Thank you everyone from Hobart Airport the last few days who stopped to chat or look at my paintings. I was staying 2 days but it was so good I had to go back for a third. To those I spoke to from - Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, Wollongong, Perth, Cape Town, Toronto, Austin, Hong Kong, California, Italy, London, Switzerland, Winnipeg, Singapore, Birmingham, New Delhi, Heidelberg... I hope I see you again and you enjoyed this island. I'll be back painting at the airport soon
