23.01.2022 In early September I raced in the fifth round of the Festival State Cup on the B track at Monarto. It wasn’t the best day, qualifying wasn’t as good as I hoped and then I didn’t finish Heat 2 after an accident. This caused an issue with my kart that couldn’t be fixed at the track which left it wounded by 2 or 3 tenths of a second a lap. Qual 4th H1 4th H2 DNF ... H3 7th Final 5th Thanks to Kart Republic Factory Race Team for the kart set up and Intimidator Race Engines See more

22.01.2022 A few weeks ago I raced in the 3rd Round of the Festival State Cup at Bolivar in the reverse direction! It was like racing on a new track and it was good fun. Qualifying was Sunday morning and it was close as usual, I ended up 3rd. Great job Jacob Chandler for qualifying on the front row. I had really good pace during the races and was a few hundreds of a second from the lap record. Q 3rd H1 3rd H2 1st... H3 4th Final 2nd Well done to Anthony Capobianco for the final and round win. Again thanks to David Brewer and Intimidator Race Engines for the help and preparation. See more

22.01.2022 Recently I raced at Rd4 of the Victorian Country Series at Hamilton. It was another weekend where the weather went from sunny to wet! I had really good speed in the dry and with 10 seconds remaining in qualifying I had pole position - but was beaten by Angus by 0.001 of a second. Its hard to imagine how little that is! Race results were pretty good but I made a mistake at the start of Heat 2 in the wet which put me in the gravel. Qual 2nd (by 0.001) H1 3rd... H2 DNF Final 5th Big thanks to Riley and Scott Harrison for transporting my gear, David Brewer and Intimidator Race Engines for the set up and engine. See more

19.01.2022 In early June I raced in the 3rd round of the Victorian Country Series at Cobden. Saturday was warm and dry and I was fast in practice and qualified 6th out of 40 karts. Sunday was wet and cold with rain showers and my results were a little up the down. Q 6th H1 4th H2 8th Final 15th... Thanks to Riley and Scott Harrison for transporting my equipment to country Victoria, David Brewer and Intimidator Race Engines. See more

17.01.2022 Update 4 AKC Rd2 was announced without much notice in early November. With being busy and only racing locally our engines werent fresh and the Kart wasnt setup for a grippy track. We decided to travel and have a go, it was a bad decision because I was off the pace. I qualified mid-field and we really noticed how much I had grown and was now a lot over weight. It wasnt a good way to finish Cadet racing but I was looking forward to driving bigger Karts with more power.

17.01.2022 My first karting event post Covid was the Kartsport SA July meeting at Barossa. I raced in two classes, Junior J and Cadet 12/Mini Rok. Nathan Holmes was kind enough to loan me a pretty interesting Yamaha J engine for the event. When I got there I found out that we were racing against KA100's... and I have one of those engines.... Even though the J was under powered against the KA100 it was still fun to battle in the small class of 3.... I had some fun and good races in both classes including racing against Riley Harrison in Mini Rok. Mini Rok Open 3, 1, 1, 1, 1 Junior J 2, 2, 1, 2, 2 Images by Dunn Photographics

16.01.2022 On Sunday I raced in Round 2 of the Speedcafe.com GT3 eSeries event at the awesome Spa track. Things started AWESOME because I qualified 6th out of 66, a bit higher than I expected!! The race didnt go as well! I made a mistake on cold tyres on the first lap while in 5th place. I got damage which meant an early pit stop, which made recovery very difficult, I finished 47th :( It was great to have speed, just need to work on consistency!... https://www.speedcafe.com//live-stream-round-2-of-speedca/

16.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago we traveled to Horsham for the fifth round of the Victorian Country Series. It was great to have a warm sunny weekend with a quality field of 26 Cadet 12’s on the small track. I Qualified 2nd which really allowed me to race at the front for the weekend. I had good speed in the Final but ran out of laps to catch the leader, I ended up second. Qual 2nd H1 3rd ... H2 2nd Final 2nd Thanks to David Brewer from Kart Republic Factory Race Team for the kart set up and Intimidator Race Engines. Big thanks to Riley and Scott Harrison from Xpert Electrical for transporting me and my kart to Horsham. Images by Pace Images

13.01.2022 Its been a while since my last update. In mid May I raced in the 3rd round of the Australian Kart Championship at Monarto, with a huge grid of 60 other Cadet 12's. Even though I had top 17 pace during Friday, the kart wasnt tuned quite right in Qualifying and I ended up 40th :( The weekend didnt improve even with the kart going better. Every race there was kart contact pushing me off track and in one race it ended upside down. It was a weekend to forget. Thanks to David Brewer and Intimidator Race Engines for the event help. 13.01.2022 It has been a while since I have updated my page, in mid August I raced in the fourth round of the Festival State Cup at Barossa. It was a day with rain and sun, I qualified 2nd and came 2nd in the final but had a few indifferent results in the heat races. Qual 2nd H1 4th H2 6th ... H3 3rd Final 2nd Thanks to Kart Republic Factory Race Team for the kart set up and Intimidator Race Engines

12.01.2022 In early November I raced in the "Ultimate Club Racer" event at The Bend. It was great to race on a new track, its fast and long! It took us a while to get the gearing and tune the carby right but in the end it wasnt too bad. After a couple of days of hard racing I ended up 6th in the final. Thanks to David Brewer from Kart Republic Factory Race Team and Intimidator Race Engines for the help. Great images Pace Images!

12.01.2022 This post is only 3 months late, probably because it was one of my worst events ever - I could blame COVID. In February I raced in the 1st round of the Australian Kart Championship with 59 others Cadet 12's at The Bend. I picked up a brand new make of Kart a couple of days before the event. In hindsight not a good idea but the kart is very similar to my normal one. My speed during practice was good early but as the track got more grip I went slower. And with Qualifying on Fr...iday evening for the first time there wasn't time to get it right. Unfortunately I qualified badly and the first race was no better running the factory Kart settings. For Heat 2 Dad put in my old seat in a much different position and the Kart took off, probably as I am getting bigger. By Heat 4 I was equal fastest on track but by then along with the usual incidents and being taken out coming through the pack the damage was done and I didnt make it to the final :( Qual 47th H1 30th to 32nd H2 30th to 13th to 34th (Taken out at the last corner DNF) H3 34th to 16th to 28th (taken out) to 19th H4 34th to 11th one of fastest on track Thanks to many people Anarchy Kartsport the engines were great all weekend and Scott Harrison. 12.01.2022 So on Sunday I was able to win the KA3 State Championship. Earlier in the week I didn’t think this was going to be possible, my freshly rebuilt Anarchy Kartsport engine was badly delayed with COVID freight issues, we planned to run the event on our practice engine which was going to be tough. Friday practice was a struggle, we were 3 or 4 tenths off the pace and we threw different axles and setups at the kart with no luck.... The Szewczuk family noticed our struggles and generously offered to lease their CC Engines KA3 race engine. We picked up some speed with the engine but not all of what we needed. Friday night we figured that our used practice tyres were no good and crossed our fingers for the weekend. As soon as I hit the track with new tyres in Qualifying the kart was so good and I broke the lap record and earned Pole position. I then won 3 of the 4 races essentially matching fastest lap times in each race across the weekend. With this KA3 class so close, its not often you get to dominate a weekend its sweeter being a State Championship. Qual 1st (Lap Record) H1 2nd (by a tenth of a second) H2 1st H3 1st Final 1st There are so many people I need to thank not only for the weekend but also for loyal support over the years; - My Parents for making this possible - Anarchy Kartsport for my engines (but not TNT and Australia Post) - Kart Republic Australia team for support and setup - JamesandRenee Szewczuk for letting me use their engine - Dave Sera for driver coaching this year - Scott Harrison for support and letting Dad borrow everything - David Brewer for his belief in me and supporting Dad

11.01.2022 Update 5 In mid December I competed in my first Junior event. A KA4 multi club event at Bolivar on Saturday and Monarto on Sunday. Considering I had only driven the kart in KA4 spec for a few sessions after school one night I was pretty happy to finish 3rd for the weekend, was right on the pace and won a race. Saturday - Bolivar (Random Draw) R1 4th R2 1st... R3 2nd Final Started 2nd, on track incident finished 7th Sunday - Monarto (Random draw) R1 2nd R2 4th R3 2nd Final 3rd

11.01.2022 Podium in the State Champs! The SA State Championship was held as a single round this year at Bolivar. As well as the locals there were 5 fast Victorians that came over for the weekend to try and win the blue plate. Qualifying was held on a drying track which I didnt get right, qualifying back in 11th. However I was fast in the first 2 heats that got me back up the front. In H4 I was taken out from behind at the first corner and ended up in the gravel. For the final I started... in 6th, after some hectic racing, myself and 3 Victorians broke away from the pack. For a while I was in second hunting down the leader, but in the end I didnt quite have the speed and finished 3rd. Qual 11th H1 4th H2 5th H3 4th H4 DNF Final 3rd Big thanks to David Brewer from Kart Republic Factory Race Team for the set up and Intimidator Race Engines for turning around a great engine rebuild so quickly. 09.01.2022 Last weekend I raced Southern Winter Shootout event at Bolivar. There was a good field of 12 for the first event back at Bolivar. I had a pretty good day winning the event Results 2, 1, 1, 1 Good job to Jedd Stanton #88 for a podium in Seniors . Thanks to Anarchy Kartsport for the awesome engines.

09.01.2022 After completing in 5 of 6 rounds of the Speedcafe GT3 series in iRacing I finished in 35th position in the series. I was hoping for better, but I did have finishes of 12th and 18th in the last two rounds. It was a great series and I learnt a lot. Karting is starting up again so I can cut some real laps!

08.01.2022 On the weekend I raced at Round 1 of the Victorian Country Series at Portland District Karting Club in Cadet 12 with 20 other karters. It was my first race for the year and also my first on the new harder tyres. After having good speed in practice I managed a near perfect lap in qualifying to take pole position. Racing went well except for the 2nd wet race when we didnt make the right tyre choice. But I am happy to start the season well. Qual 1st... H1 1st H2 5th Final 3rd Big thanks to David Brewer from Kart Republic Factory Race Team and Anarchy Kartsport. Special mention to Ashley Lester for his good work over the last couple of seasons. 05.01.2022 Last weekend I raced in another iracing event. Round 1 of the Speedcafe.com GT3 eSeries event on the Indianapolis road course. The series has a prize pool of $5000. About 90 drivers registered and after qualifying the top 40 would race along with 10 nominated professional drivers including Shane Van Gisbergen and Andre Heimgartner. I was happy to qualify 34th for the 90 minute race. The race was pretty clean although I did get spun early but only lost a few positions. After 7...5 minutes, pit stops for tyres and fuel and a safety car I raced to 12th position with 15 minutes to go. Unfortunately I lost concentration and made a mistake spinning myself and getting damage. I needed to pit again and ended the race where I started in 34th. It was good fun but pretty frustrating. https://www.speedcafe.com//live-stream-round-1-of-speedca/ See more

05.01.2022 Its been a month or so since I posted last. At the end of October I raced in the City of Adelaide Titles at Bolivar. After doing quite well there at the State Champs, I was hoping for a good day. But it wasnt to be. I was pushed off track in a few races and then Dad decided not to tighten a few bolts and the chain came off. I finished the Final in the gravel and that is how I remember the event :)

04.01.2022 Here is the video of my crash and roll at the 3rd Round of the Australian Kart Championship at Monarto.

03.01.2022 On the weekend I also raced in a second class, finishing in 3rd place in KA4 Junior Light at the State Championship. This class was a challenge all weekend as we slowly developed the Kart. Friday practice was pretty bad and I could only qualify 7th. Like our KA3 race engine my carburetor for this engine was stuck in Melbourne, so we borrowed one, it took me ages to tune the engine over the weekend as I was driving along.... I am now quite a bit too heavy for the kart and after lightening I was still 5kg over weight. To try and get the handling right Dad put a 40mm axle in Saturday morning and we bit by bit improved the kart in each session. We timed it just right to get the kart competitive in the Final and finish third. Qual 7th H1 10th (4th before a 10 sec penalty) H2 6th H3 2nd Final 3rd Thanks to; - Anarchy Kartsport for the strong engine - My Cousin Jedd Stanton for helping all weekend (and for finishing 2nd in his class) - Greg Cowie for lending us a carby - Scott Harrison for lending us a Mychron - Matt Capobianco for giving us some practice tyres and wets

03.01.2022 Update 3 In mid October I raced in another club day at Bolivar. Again I was the fastest on track all day, but unfortunately I was accidentally fed into the fence by a new driver in Race 2. It bent a few things on the kart, meaning I needed to retire for the day.

02.01.2022 A few weeks ago I raced in the last round of the Victorian Country Series at Ballarat. I was a weekend of hail, drizzle and the odd patch of sun. It was an ok weekend running in the midfield of 25 other karts, but I never really had the speed to run at the front. The result put me in sixth place overall in the 6 round series. Thanks to David Brewer from Kart Republic Factory Race Team and Intimidator Race Engines. Great pics Ben, Pace Images.

01.01.2022 On Saturday I raced at Whyalla Kart Club in their Welcome Back meeting. It was a smallish field of 7, but the racing was good fun I clean sweeped the 4 races. 1, 1, 1, 1 Thanks to Anarchy Kartsport for the great engines.

01.01.2022 So when I couldn't race for real, I decided to try iracing again and try to rescue my almost zero rookie rating from 3 years ago. Luckily I have improved a bit so I thought I would try the Erebus Academy JR eSports Competition when Dad told me about it. I entered the 13-15 age group along with about 80 other kids, only the top 40 from qualifying got to race on the weekend. After 2 nights of qualifying sessions, in both a V8 Supercar and a Legends, I finished 12th on combined ...lap times. Then on the Saturday there was a 10 minute qualifying session for each car for the top 40. It was hard to get a clean lap on a busy track; -Qual Legends 15th -Qual V8 Supercar 17th Racing was tough but mostly clean. The V8 race was the best for me with a good start, a small error dropped me to 7th but it was a good result. -Race Legends 12th -Race V8 Supercar 7th This is the Livestream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7DJljqADr8 It was good fun and I look forward to more iracing in the future.
