25.01.2022 What stunning views

23.01.2022 Olha a natureza...

23.01.2022 A new crew have been to the summit of Mt Timbertop- thanks John! Abundant flowers, amazing views and great company. I should add that, being Remembrance Day, we did observe the minute’s silence.

19.01.2022 Mt Maroon for the first time today and loved it. The best views out of the half a dozen other peaks I have done in the Scenic Rim. I handled the rock scrambling sections much better than Mt May as they were not near nasty drop offs. Legs and lungs no problem.

19.01.2022 One walk worth thinking about. Day 1

17.01.2022 A very wet long weekend in the Walhalla area- but our spirits were not dampened. Coffee, walks around town, the gold mine tour, some touring, a counter meal and a ‘bonus’ ... a walk into Mushroom Rocks in snow. Accomodation worked well, great hosts (Mountain Rivers Tourist Park, Rawson).

15.01.2022 On the High Country Rail Trail from Huon to Tallangatta and return. A gorgeous day, although very hot on the return leg! We enjoyed the amazing views of Lake Hume.

13.01.2022 A walk (Pine Gully) and an enjoyable Cup Day picnic. Horseshoe throwing (tricky).. broadcast of the Benalla Bushbashers Cup, very funny.. but you had to be there Good company.. lovely desserts.. warm day.

09.01.2022 Oh what a stunning view

07.01.2022 Thanks to Jenny and Neville for leading the walk today up on the Mt Buffalo plateau. It was a glorious day spent enjoying all the mountain has to offer. Amazing views across the North East, extraordinary rock formations, crystal clear waters, majestic alpine forests and lovely crisp fresh air. We began our walk from the Chalet car park making our way to View Point Lookout. On to Lake Catani for lunch, then around the Lake to the main road. A walk along the road took us to the track to the Monolith. After enjoying the views from the Monolith we made our way back to the cars. Approx a 10km walk. A delightful way to spend our Saturday.

05.01.2022 Lake Moodemeer - a shortish walk (near Wahgunyah) on a hot day through the forest overlooking the lake and then the Murray River. Finished at Pfeiffer’s Winery and enjoyed a chat with wine over lunch in the shade.
