24.01.2022 Headaches. Many of us suffer from them from time to time. For some of us it's a mild inconvenience but for others, especially those who suffer from migraines it can be debilitating. Today I'm sharing an article about Bowen Therapy and how it can be used to treat different types of headaches. 24.01.2022 Before I was a Bowen Therapist I was a Bushranger. I worked as a teacher at Red Hill Field Studies Centre (now environmental education centre). One of our programs was a bushranger act which took kids on an adventure through the town of Gulgong in NSW. It was a dangerous life as a bushranger. Lots of potential for injury. 23.01.2022 I spent the weekend at a Bowen Therapy masters course where I improved my skills and saw some amazing effects of treatments on participants. The course was run by the couple who brought Bowen Therapy to the world, Ossie and Elaine Rentsch. Great to learn from the true masters of the art. Tonight I am presenting BowenTherapy to the All Blacks Football and Netball Club and discussing sponsorship with them and Goorambat.

22.01.2022 I treated a client in her own home last week as she had hurt her knee. It was so bad that she'd called an ambulance and gone to hospital. They couldn't do anything or even recommend a treatment other than pain killers. She was discharged after a couple of days but without improvement went back to the hospital but was discharged again without treatment. This morning she called to say that she was mobile again and could she have a follow up treatment. The Bowen knee procedure ...is made up of 10 gentle but significant moves over tendons ligaments and nerves of the knee and lower leg plus drainage around the joint. 21.01.2022 Last night we signed up for ongoing contributions to the Peter Mac Cancer Foundation mainly because years ago they saved my Mum's life. My wife Sally pointed out that the monthly fee was less than one Bowen Therapy treatment. 21.01.2022 Having completed a Masters Certificate in Specialised Bowen Therapy last month, last weekend I attended a "Bowen Therapy for Sports Injuries" course. This was held in Wodonga and run by experts in the field with experience in AFL, netball, basketball and more. This was a great opportunity to improve my diagnosis and treatment skills and to understand more about how to help people recover from all sorts of injuries. 14.01.2022 Yesterday my wife, Sally, was feeling fragile. She came home hardly able to move. The last time I'd seen her like this she saw a physio who advised her to lie with her back extended, on her front with a pillow under her chest and one under her legs for 4 days. It worked. 11.01.2022 Sciatic Pain can be very debilitating. I have had good success treating this problem using Bowen Therapy. Often it can be fixed using lower back and hamstring procedures. These have the effect of opening up the muscles and connective tissue around the affected nerve, thus relieving pressure. 09.01.2022 As a follow-up to the last post my client drove to my clinic today, couldn't have done that last week, had much more movement and much less pain. After today's treatment had basically full range of movement and no pain. That's why I do Bowen Therapy.

02.01.2022 As a practitioner I'm a grateful client. Years ago I had the flu very badly and, since then, every time I got cold I would feel sick and vulnerable. I'd have an ache between my shoulder blades.... Last week I did a Bowen Therapy professional development course run by Michael Quinlivan and Karen Hedrick from Border Natural Therapies in Wodonga. They were teaching the Respiratory Procedure. This involves a move across the muscles and connective tissues between the shoulder blades. Karen did the procedure on me and I immediately felt relief. This week I've felt better than I have all year.
