23.01.2022 Dear Squashies, Come and Try / Round-Robin events will be held at the Benalla Squash Club on Monday 20th and 27th of July and Wednesday 22nd and 29th of July from 6:30pm onwards. Please come along for a try-out/grading for the Spring 2020 Competition which is set to begin the week commencing Monday August 3rd. Social distancing will apply and please do not attend if you have any flu-like symptoms or are feeling unwell in any way.... Regards Stuart Jones (President Benalla Squash Club)

16.01.2022 Dear Benalla Squash Club members. There has been talk of relaxing restrictions in regards to Covid19 social distancing measures in the coming weeks. This may include the possibility of resuming indoor sporting competitions such as our squash competition. Any resumption of play will likely be structured to maximise social distancing / minimise numbers present at the court at any one time. I would also encourage all players to download the COVIDSafe app to help minimise any fut...ure transmissions among members. Stay tuned. Regards, Stuart Jones President Benalla Squash Club
16.01.2022 Benalla Squash Club Covid-19 Protocol: Upon arrival all members must sign the attendance register and apply hand sanitiser at the entrance to the common room.... All members must be wearing a facial covering or mask at all times, except when playing on the court. Players must reapply their facial coverings / masks after leaving the court. All players must observe social distancing rules at all times. And please, no shaking hands. Playing times will be staggered to minimise the number of members at the courts at any one time (where possible): 3’s and 4’s are to play from 6:30pm; 1’s and 2’s are to play from 7:30pm. All members must referee or score at least one game. Any member who feels unwell, or has any respiratory symptoms of any kind, or has had contact with a known case of Covid-19 should not attend the club premises under any circumstances. Please find a fill-in or advise your opponent if you are unable to attend. Upon leaving the premises all members must sign out of the attendance register. The premises are being professionally cleaned after each competition night. Note: These rules are based on, and either meet or exceed, current Squash Victoria and Victorian State Government Health and Human Services Guidelines. These regulations may change on short notice.

Squash has given me so much: many friends, many goo...d times, good health, maintained my fitness, team spirit, a philosophy surrounding competitiveness and a network of good people as friends. Squash has been the basis for many good friendships and many fun times. Most of the fond memories are of the social side associated with the sport. 14.01.2022 Dear Benalla Squash Club members. The Victorian Government is meeting with other state government leaders tonight, at the National Cabinet Meeting, regarding measures to combat Covid19. Premier Daniel Andrews has made it clear that he will be pursuing a complete shutdown of nonessential services and nonessential gatherings in Victoria. This will obviously include gatherings like our squash competition. Therefore, unfortunately, we will no longer be able to continue with our... competition under the current health guidelines.
