25.01.2022 Holy hell. It finally really rained at the home farm.

25.01.2022 A couple of quick snaps of some purebred calves from cows from the Waratah Sale last year. The white calf is a heifer from the Ember x Riverina Sonar, very happy with her growth after a bout of sickness - great job by our Vet centre to get her back on track. The speckle is a nice bull calf from a pho-finish cow and from Waratah beginnings.

24.01.2022 These calves were weaned very early (roughly 100kg) due to a lack of feed and to look after the mothers (Angus Heifers). They have been fed a weaner mix in the feed pad since and are looking pretty good.

22.01.2022 Beautiful line of SP steers and heifers arrived out of NSW. Happy with our steers and the people that have taking the others are thrilled.

20.01.2022 Early morning checking the steers down in South Gippsland. Much greener than home, nice change from the wind and dust. This mob includes some steers purchased from NSW, as well as the smaller ones being our early weaned calves from last December.

19.01.2022 Selling some great steer calves this Friday on AuctionsPlus. Top calf weighed in at 370, great temperament - easy to handle and handled often. There cows will be sold PTIC, they have done a fantastic job on their calves and only selling to retain a few more of our heifers. Averaged weight 700kg. Photo in commments

19.01.2022 Beautiful day checking the cows and calves up the hill, these will be weaned shortly. Very happy with the job the cows are doing. Steers will be offered up for sale once weaned.

18.01.2022 Nicky has had a busy day checking cattle, was most impressed with the autumn calving heifers - going to be hard to pick what to sell and what to keep. We love this white bull, FCF Big secret - low birth weight calves with quick weight gain.

14.01.2022 These July/August drop calves are coming along nicely. 17 steers averaged 295kg, with the 14 heifers Averaging 283kg. The Angus mother’s were purchased from AuctionsPlus from Bowen Park Speckles last year and are back in calf to FCF Churchill. They are doing a great job on their calves.

13.01.2022 We purchased these Angus cows via AuctionsPlus from Bowan Park SP, in calf to Minamurra bulls. The calves are exceptional. Great structure and size. We are excited to have our JAD F1s calve down in the next few weeks.

12.01.2022 A good way to end the school week arriving home to find PB heifer Ursula (Waratah P199 - Sire CODIAK SPENCER GNK 52B, Dam - REDNECK RANCH'S URSULA 7U) just finishing calving a beautiful little heifer calf; she was joined to Moovin ZpotZ Dickey.

11.01.2022 These Angus cows were purchased through AuctionsPlus and calved in July, very pleased with the growth and temperament of this lot.

08.01.2022 Some new additions to the herd. A nice run of steers from Bingara, NSW. Settling in at home before heading to our South Gippsland Paddock.

08.01.2022 F1 cows and F2 claves loving the green grass at Carrajung. They did very well on the dusty flats at the home farm. Most calved June/July.

07.01.2022 Second lot of calving almost completed. These cows came out of Walcha, but originally from JAD Ag who we have purchased most of our Speckle Park Cows from.

06.01.2022 Last season we leased some of our purebred commercial bulls to a dairy client of Nicky’s. Calves have just hit the ground and are beauty’s. At this stage calving ease is exceptional, excellent conception rates and some cracking calves, including a nice sized set of twins.
