25.01.2022 Kevin has been in Germany for the last couple of weeks, enjoying Judging at mare and foal shows plus mare performance testing.

24.01.2022 Today we picked up our 4 year old mare BENCHMARK DUTY FREE / Desperados / Royal Blend after a few weeks of boot camp with Olivia Hamood. Big thank you Olivia for sending her home looking so good.

We saw Secret compete in the World Young Horse Championships, where we were blown away by his incredible rideability as well as his talent. Symphony has inherited the elegance and natural free moving supple gaits of her ...sire and has combined these attributes with the strong hind leg of her dam. Her dam was recently described by Dr. Ludwig Christmann from the Hanoverian Verband as a ‘magnificent mare’. 20.01.2022 So happy to have received these photos and a snippet of footage from Kaitlin Colless. Kaitlin is training Benchmark Dream On / Don Index/ Benchmark Rock On/Rotspon for us. Not only is she doing a super job but she keeps in touch and does photos and videos without even being asked. Looking forward to seeing these two competing in the young horse classes.

Benchmark Dream On showed her talent and confidence both ridden and free jumping at the HHSA Mare Performance Testing at Gatton Indoor. 18.01.2022 Benchmark Dream On is a culmination of over 20 years of breeding at Benchmark Hanoverians. Our daughter, Karina Lewis rode her great grand mother and we bred her grandmother by Anamour and then her mother by Rotspon. Our dreams come to fruition when we produce horses like this one. Congratulations Georgia.

15.01.2022 BENCHMARK DREAM ON / Don Index/ Benchmark Rock On/Rotspon competed in her first official outing at the 2018 Horseland Ipswich Brenda Wittmann Classic 2* and once again she showed her talent and her extreme rideability. With scores up to 73% we couldn't be happier with this mare. Big thank you to Kaitlin Colless for being such a great jockey.

15.01.2022 Last week was a sad week for Benchmark Hanoverians. Benchmark Rock On (Roxy) lost her foal due to a difficult presentation. Roxy ended up at WestVets. Whilst at WestVets a mare with a foal at foot is put down after breaking her leg after colic surgery. This left an orphan foal. Roxy is now a foster mum.

14.01.2022 Took the rug off today and found this gorgeous man. The only gelding at Benchmak Hanoverians. BENCHMARK DANCING IN LA Dancier/Lauries As/Anamour. He is 18 months and moves like his father.

14.01.2022 Hiding under the rug is Benchmark Royal Bliss/ Royal Classic/ Bellissimo M / Royal Blend. All of our foals have now been taught to lead, been bathed, had their feet trimmed, rugged and been floated back and forth to the vet while their mums went back in foal.

14.01.2022 Benchmark Live It Up Laurie’s As / Anamour four year old stepping out with his young rider. He is the last foal from our Anamour mare (affectionately known as Lucky). He now joins a large number of her progeny competing on the sandpits. Well done Darcy.

14.01.2022 BENCHMARK FINE GOLD / FINEST/WOLKENTANZ I - Modern, 16.2hh, 4 year old Hanoverian registered mare, long legged and elegant, good elevation in her gaits, plenty of swing through the loin and ample freedom of the shoulders. Her face is like a sculptured doll and her neck is very well placed, coming up and out cleanly from the chest. 12.01.2022 Esther Brookes and her gelding Benchmark Lets Rock/Londonderry / Premium & Elite Mare Benchmark Rock On/Rotspon/Anamour. Esther and Johnny are cheered on by many of her admirers at every competition. Esther tells me every time we talk that Johnny is her reason to get out of bed every day and she loves training him. It makes us proud as breeders to see the horses we have bred giving so much pleasure. Johnny was purchased by Esther when he was 18months old, she has done all the training herself and will take him out at medium level in 2019. Esther, we wish you many more years of fun on Johnny.

10.01.2022 AWARDED GOLD on HHSA tour - Benchmark Freedom/ For Romance I / Wolkentanz I brown filly born Oct 2017. We cannot keep all of the fillies that we breed so this exceptional filly is for sale. Katy Holder-Vale, this year's classifier, commented that 'this filly is just so good she has to be competed'. Freedom is super modern, light on her feet, drop dead gorgeous and of course she has the paces to go with her looks. She is also a super confident filly. PM for details.

09.01.2022 Yesterday we went to visit Roxy, Benchmark Rock On. After losing her foal during birth, she is now a foster mum to a Thoroughbred foal named Tuffy. Roxy has settled into life in a new herd and she looks great. Thanks Lisa Morton for looking after our girl so well. May the milk of the Hanoverian make Tuffy run fast in a couple of years.

09.01.2022 Long legged Dancier filly (Dancier/Royal Blend) is what we ordered and somehow the order was delivered correctly. It looks like she might even be a liver chestnut to add to the contrast of her bling. We had another season of fillies so we have a few choices available. It is so good to be able to take them out onto grass.

08.01.2022 Introducing our latest addition, just a few days old - BENCHMARK DECREE / Don Index / Royal Blend. She is a super modern type with long legs and she already shows the uphill attributes required in a youngster that will mature into a top dressage horse. Being black with very long legs, Kevin has given her a stable name of SPIDER. Nobody will forget her name.

08.01.2022 The dam is Benchmark By Request /Benicio/Royal Blend. We have not seen her since she left Queensland as a yearling. She has done a fantastic job with this colt.

08.01.2022 The Benicio mare was bred by Benchmark Hanoverians. We tried very hard to produce another with the same breeding but no luck came our way.

05.01.2022 What a night we had last night. First there was the rain, wind and hail. Because of the noise made by hail on the stable roof we were concerned that the Benchmark Bold Promise/Bellissimo M/ Royal Blend would get upset in the stable. Hence decision was made to leave her in the paddock and hope she didn't foal. WRONG she foaled in the only muddy spot in the paddock. Massive thank you to Sally Piggott and the strong man Don for coming to the rescue at 11pm to help us move this Royal Classic filly into the stable. To top it off the mare is a maiden mare. All good today. Proper photos later.

04.01.2022 Proud breeder moment. Benchmark Dream On / Don Index/Rotspon qualified as a Hanoverian Premium Mare candidate last week at the Hanoverian Mare Performance Test. She was the highest scoring mare out of a group of 9 extremely well bred mares. What makes this very special is - we bred her, her mother and her grandmother. Big thank you to Kaitlin Colless for training her so well.

03.01.2022 It takes a small start to achieve great things. For Romance/Lauries As/Anamour. Our last For Romance was a top 10 foal so just a bit happy to get a pregnancy with the first insemination of the season.
