16.01.2022 A good workout is every bit as effective and in some cases MORE effective than a therapy session. When you exercise, you change your physiology and the chemistry in your brain changes to generate positive energy rather than if you were to just sit around feeling sorry for yourself or look for other ways to deal with things such as alcohol, drugs and food. Every one has a story and everyone has different ways to deal with stuff but I can tell you that a good workout is one of ...your best options and in many cases for me, my best friend. It doesn't fix everything. But it helps by giving you clarity and channeling your energy to something positive that you'll benefit from. Next time you're having issues of any kind, try hitting an intense weight session (or cardio if that's your thing) and find out for yourself how effective it actually is. 15.01.2022 TRUTH BOMB...You all need to read this Results!!!....Unfortunately, human beings are impatient by default. "I want it now and I want it to be easy" This is the ...standard comment I get as a trainer. or..." How long till I can see my 6 pack" Let me tell you something. Losing weight takes a long time. It takes constant and consistent effort just like getting results in any other area of your life. Gaining muscle takes even longer! Another important fact...The longer you leave it, the harder it will be to achieve. I'm not going to sugar coat this for you. If you want to get the body you've always wanted I know how to help you get it. But you must do the work necessary. There is no other way. Please don't buy into media hype about wine and chocolate helping you lose weight or "this one magic pill" and even worse, those stupid ab machines or platforms that you stand on that vibrate and you apparently lose weight around your waist. THEY ARE DOING NOTHING FOR YOU For most people, if you do all the right things consistently you will see visible results in about 6 to 8 weeks. Keep doing those same things for another 8 weeks and other people will definitely notice. Do these things for a full year and you will, by default, look excellent and probably be in the best shape of your life. At this point it becomes easier and maintenance programs are put in place. To get the perfect physique takes years. 3 to 5 minimum and even then there's other factors including hormones and loose skin. As a society I think we've lost the ability to be disciplined because we've been made to feel far too comfortable. This is an unfortunate negative to technology. If you want to change your body, you have to be prepared to change your mind first. The first step is to stop being afraid of hard work. Being out of breath for a little bit isn't going to kill you. Feeling like you're going to throw up isn't going to kill you, cutting out bad fats and most dairy isn't going to kill you. It all depends on how much you really want it. Because if you do want it, you'll simply do the necessary amount of hard work. That is the truth. Coach Mark

04.01.2022 Hey team...I've left my competitive nature on the shelf for a few years due to focusing on business and life in general. But that's all about to change this Saturday the 2nd of December. All of you are welcome to come watch me compete at my home ground 858 Fitness Beaufort st Inglewood in the Kettlebell Triathlon event. Most of you know about of my background as a martial artist and a competitor in that sport some years ago. Now it's time to step back on the platform and compete. To be honest I don't care what I'm competing in as long as get to satisfy that competitive urge that come from within. I haven't really mentioned anything about it until now as I wanted to put my ego to the side and focus on my training for the event. I truly hope to see many of you there as your support will be greatly needed. This event is one of 3 over the next few months.
