24.01.2022 Perfect 21st birthday present for Denis. . After installing one of our Motec M1 ECU packages earlier this year, we hit the limit for the 268 camshafts that were fitted to the car. . After replacing them with our custom Benchmark 274 profile made for us by Kelford, we upgraded the injectors to suit the increased power and retuned.... . Now making a solid 300kw on 98 and 370+kw on E60+, with the most important gains being 50+kw over 7000rpm vs the previous cam package, with only ~200rpm lost on initial spool. . 22.01.2022 Another stock block monster out the door this week. Kyle came to us for the finishing touches after installing our Stage 2+ package. With the correct parts selection, solid results will naturally follow.... After laying down a comfy 275+kw on 98, some Ethanol was added along with ~30psi of boost bringing the final result to just over 350kw on anything above ~70% ethanol. Immaculate drivability and awesome response on tap with our stock frame turbo packages now being based around the Australian made Intense Ball Bearing turbochargers. The original ECU install wasn't able to correctly run the engine with a factory distributor, so a Motec M130 was wired in and a custom trigger pattern scoped and written to allow things to run as intended.... . Having been a long term customer with one of our dualmap road tunes back in 2012, Eric reached out to us earlier this year with a plan for the next stage of his TME ownership. Being someone that likes doing things different to most, a plan centering around a 2.2 engine package from PR, high mount manifold and our favourite GTX3576 turbo package was divulged. ... Once the car arrived with the fresh engine, the turbo kit was completed, intake manifold replaced with a Plazmaman cast long runner item facilitating the conversion to drive by wire. Piping was completed with clamps at all critical joints along with Speedflow plumbing used throughout. The fuel system was attacked next, comprising of a boot mounted surge system, lines bulkheaded through the floor and then upgraded feed and return lines to allow required fueling for the additional power. The package was completed with one of our Motorsport grade wiring harnesses replacing the twenty year old wiring loom. This supports the logical choice of our Motec ECU package for Evo including multiple pressure and temp sensors, 8-button keypad, cruise control, rolling launch etc. Critical data is displayed on a Plex SDM-100. With calibration, power levels are well into the 400kw and 600+Nm range, reaching the reliable limit of the existing intercooler which gave a good excuse to stop and enjoy the new found power boost. After closer inspection of this VERY clean example, we had tuned this car nearly six years ago for the original owner, after passing through a few hands, safe to say it wont be going anywhere soon. . After rectifying some boost control issues and an injector clean, a single map E85 MAFless tune was completed on the standard ECU.... . Having performed some minor boost plumbing and tuned his fresh Meek 2.2 / 6466 setup to 500+kW earlier this year, the plan was put together to max out this package whilst bringing the rest of the vehicle up to spec. Our Benchmark Premium ECU system was installed consisting of:... - Engine bay rewire with our Motorsport grade wiring harness. - Motec M1 ECU package with associated sensors. - DBW conversion. - 8x injector upgrade along with our trigger kit upgrade delivering the ultimate balance in drivability, economy and power delivery. - 8-button keypad for in cabin control of all vehicle functions. Dan also chose to upgrade his display to our Benchmark 7inch dash display kit. This centres around a Motec C series dash, 3D printed enclosure and our PnP adapter kit for factory wiring. As always, for reliability with a car of this level, all vacuum and fuel plumbing was converted to Speedflow 200 series hose and fitting.
