09.01.2022 End of training phase 1 for the U16s NPL team of @fremantlecityfc and so far we’ve seen some good progress! The main aim for phase 1 is to get the players fast tracked to a level of satisfactory match fitness. We’ve been assessing this through the use of the 30-15 intermittent fitness test which has notably taken over the beep test as the now considered norm for a cardiovascular test amongst team sports. As you can see by the results on page 2, we’ve been rapidly improving ...the cardiovascular performance of all players. We still have some distance to go, but as you can see by the normative data on page 2, we’re not far off. Going further into phase 2 we begin to work on repeated sprint ability and power. Looking forward to developing some absolute animals on the pitch
