22.01.2022 Bearded iris are coming up all over the garden. These blooms flowered in the last 24 hours.

18.01.2022 The first iris for 2018 is this delicate little dwarf iris. Native jasmine is a quick grower and covering a fence nicely. Who can resist Clivea for shady spaces in the garden.

17.01.2022 The last quinces have been picked from Bendalls orchard and made into delicious quince jelly. Guests can enjoy this and the many home made jams and preserves we grow in our free breakfast.

03.01.2022 Guests rave about our organic food garden and I love sharing my garden tips with guests. Today I harvested 6 good bunches of spring onions, a big bunch of parsley and over 500g parsnips. The bonus was a large pile of green for the compost bin and a tiny pile of weeds for council green waste. That's recycling!
