25.01.2022 Work continues. Original wooden stumps completely rotten and no longer supporting the bearers, so being replaced with new adjustable steel piers sitting on concrete footings.

24.01.2022 For hall hire during the current Covid-19 pandemic, the Tamworth Regional Council have provided extra conditions for potential hirers to address for any function they wish to hold. All applications for hire will also need to be approved by TRC after reviewing your Covid Safe Plan and Public Liability documents, so allow plenty of time before the function date.

22.01.2022 We have regretfully decided that with still 2 weeks to go, that in the current uncertain environment it will be to everyones benefit for us to postpone the Bendi Beach Party to a time when everyone will be much more comfortable to once again get out and about.

21.01.2022 https://www.facebook.com/ozharvest will be at the Bendemeer CWA this Wednesday 5th August from 2.30pm to 4.00pm

19.01.2022 Now, on a totally different topic - with all the Covid 19 news going on you might just overlook the end of daylight saving and setting your clocks back NEXT WEEKEND. So make a "note to self" now and be ready!

15.01.2022 And so it begins! Work is now underway at the rear of the hall to create a level paved outdoor space, new path and paving for the toilet block, and a new path and hardstand for the rain water tank. This is being made possible by TRC, and will create more usable outdoor space and also make the toilet more accessible. It will then be up to the committee to finish off the project with a gabion rock retaining wall, and landscaping at our expense, so be ready for the call! We'll be looking for helping hands, plants rocks and ideas very soon (in small groups of course).

15.01.2022 Remember that springy floor at the back of the Hall that sloped unnervingly towards the wall? It's being fixed, thanks to funding and expertise from the TRC . New footings, piers and timber should give new life to the neglected section of flooring and remove that feeling of sliding west towards the back door .

12.01.2022 New bearers going in on the 36 new piers. You can see in the photo how the back door is now leveled, the back wall having been raised about 50mm.

12.01.2022 Do drop in Sunday for some free advice and resources from the Rural Fire Service on how to prepare for the coming fire season. A great initiative after last season's apocalypse!

11.01.2022 Concrete poured this morning for a 12m x 7m slab plus paths. Gas, water tank and plumbing to be finished next week. Sure beats mixing and wheelbarrows

05.01.2022 Reminder that the Tara Springs Wind Farm developers are having an information evening at the Hall today from 3pm to 6pm. Come along and chat with the people from RES Australia, enjoy a cuppa and find out more about this project. If you can't make it, you can also check out their web site at - http://www.tarasprings-renewableenergy.com/

04.01.2022 It's Brass Monkey time again everybody, so save the date! This time they want to celebrate the end of summer with the Bendi (rhymes with Bondi) Beach Party. A family friendly evening of fun and dance that we're sure the kids will enjoy as much as the adults, so leave your cares behind and join us on Saturday 28th March from 5.30pm. Bring along your own picnic, or you can grab a fresh made pizza or hot dog or ice cream cone and soft drinks from the kitchen. $5 entry, and children under 12yo free.
