24.01.2022 Thanks to all who joined with us yesterday - one way or another :-) To the best of our knowledge, the same restrictions will apply next Sunday. If you would like to attend onsite with a congregation of 100, please email [email protected] by 8 pm Thursday. Please register again this week, even if you attended yesterday. Thank you and God bless your week!

24.01.2022 Easter Choir begins rehearsing next week. Would you like to sing with us?

23.01.2022 It is with sadness that we inform you that all services and groups held at the church are cancelled until further notice. It is also our strong recommendation that you do not gather in groups outside of the church. Our Prime Minister said yesterday, that our hearts may be broken, but our spirits will not be broken. Yes, our hearts are breaking, because we love gathering together in various ways, but we know our hearts are held in our Father’s hands. And it isn’t the ‘Austral...ian spirit’ that will endure in us, but the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead who sustains and empowers us! We are seeking God’s guidance for ways we can minister wisely and safely, to continue supporting our church community, and the reality is that almost all ministry will need to be carried out with physical distance between us. We ask for your prayer support and your patience as we settle in to working our ‘new normal’. This year, our focus is 2020Faith. Remember the words of James, writing to God’s people, ‘scattered among the nations’: Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1:1-4) May God protect, comfort and sustain each one of us as we eagerly await the day we can again worship together. Until then, take it one day at a time and let the peace and love of Jesus shine through you in this strange new world.

22.01.2022 In the light of the rapidly changing situation concerning the COVID-19 coronavirus, we would like to assure you that we are paying very close attention to what this means for our church community, by reading and following the official advice from Commonwealth and State health authorities. At this stage, our planned services and activities are continuing to meet as normal. We have put proactive measures in place to do everything we can to help our community stay safe, as we ga...ther. Leadership is actively planning for any future changes in the public health response, which may require us to adjust the way we meet and minister. We would encourage each of you to be wise and calm in your response to this situation. This includes washing hands regularly, minimising physical contact, staying home if you are unwell or feeling concerned about your health. Let’s care for one another, in this climate of concern and uncertainty, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus and holding unswervingly to faith in our great God. When anxiety arises, let’s take it to God in prayer, and the peace of God, which passes all understanding will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. This is a time for the people of God to demonstrate faith and practical love to the world. If you need pastoral care, please contact us. We will keep you informed of any changes as they arise. We pray for protection of your wellbeing and plan for a blessed time of worshipping our God together tomorrow; celebrating communion with grateful hearts for all He has done for us; being fed and challenged by a message from God’s Word; and looking forward to seeing God work in wonderful ways in and through Bendigo Church of Christ as we continue in 2020 Faith.

21.01.2022 Church Council met last night and discussed the changed Government restrictions regarding gatherings of people during this current State of Emergency in Victoria. After considering the extensive guidelines provided by Churches of Christ Vic/Tas, which we are required to follow, it was decided not to resume Bible Studies or Youth Group Activities at the church, at this stage. We appreciate your understanding in this decision and ask for your ongoing prayer support for our chur...ch and nation as we continue moving through COVID-19. We will continue to remain aware of the situation and be prayerful regarding changing implications for church activities. We are grateful to God for His constant protection, provision and guidance and we encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, take care of your health and your community. Where it is wise, small private gatherings are now permitted - this provides a new opportunity for friends to pray and spend time in God’s Word together in homes. May the Lord bless you and keep you.

19.01.2022 Due to the Premier's announcement - there will be no church onsite this Sunday. We will be online - details to follow.

18.01.2022 These are indeed unprecedented and swiftly changing times. Senior leadership met this afternoon to discuss how we move forward as a church. At this point, there will be a service on Sunday morning for those who are comfortable to attend, with significant modifications to what is 'normal'. More detailed information regarding these modifications will be released in the next 24 hours. Please watch your emails and this space - we will keep in contact and there will be ways we can... work together to honour God in maintaining a safe and supportive community, regardless of our ability to gather in the manner to which we have been accustomed. These are difficult times, but we have a dependable God! Ministry may be challenged, but we are committed to placing our confidence in Him and caring for one another through this season. Let's see this as an opportunity for 2020 Faith to be strengthened and for us to shine with the love of Jesus in our community.

18.01.2022 Hope you can join with us tomorrow. 10am Family worship at Bendigo Church of Christ, Short St Bendigo. 12:30 pm Family fun at the pool

16.01.2022 Good morning! It's Sunday, sometimes (more often in past times) called 'The Lord's Day'. Wherever you are today, be blessed as you make time to worship our wonderful Lord. Some other old terms to ponder... Our God is OMNIPRESENT. He is everywhere. He is with you!... Our God is OMNIPOTENT. He is all powerful. Nothing is greater than Him. Our God is OMNISCIENT. He is all knowing. Nothing takes Him by surprise. Our God is OMNIBENEVOLENT. He is your good and loving Father. May the Lord bless you and keep you.

14.01.2022 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEiFSrBwIjk First update for today... Sadly, choir is cancelled. However, don't let that stop you from singing praises to our great God wherever you go.... It is done, It is finished. Christ has won, He is risen. Grace is here. Love has triumphed over death - FOREVER! See more

08.01.2022 Starting soon - an informal space for young adults to explore more of what it means to follow Jesus in daily life. Please share the invitation with anyone you feel may be interested.

07.01.2022 Our doors may be closed, but our ministry and mission are strong! Let's join with our brothers and sisters in the Lord to pray. "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."... 2 Chronicles 7:14 1900 (7pm) every night - pause in your homes, and pray. https://hope1032.com.au//heads-of-all-australian-churches/

07.01.2022 So thankful that we may meet onsite again this Sunday. Lockdown ends at 11:59 tonight and official documentation from the Premier’s office states that worship gatherings may resume. Masks will need to be worn indoors. This week, we will also be providing an online video service.

04.01.2022 Today, we choose to worship. We may not gather together as we love to do on Sunday mornings, but we set this time apart for God and 'gather' together with worship and the Word in our homes.

03.01.2022 To our church family, Most of you will have heard that Victoria begins to ease restrictions at 11:59 pm tonight. We have been reading and discussing the official announcements and recommendations from the Office of the Premier of Victoria and look forward to being able to connect face-to-face with family and friends in safe and appropriate ways.... On Monday 18th May, Church Council will meet to discuss what changes can be made in the life of our church, in light of these eased restrictions and FOLLOWING THIS MEETING we fully anticipate being able to endorse the return to some small group activities within the life of the church. We thank you for your support of our church family over these past weeks and we encourage you to continue following public health recommendations as restrictions ease and community life returns 'offline'. We are grateful to God for His many blessings and we pray for His ongoing provision and protection as our land navigates the continuing COVID-19 crisis. See you for Church Online, in your homes, on Sunday morning, and watch this space for an announcement on Monday regarding our gentle transition towards worshipping together in our Church home. God bless you, Katelyn, on behalf of Pastor Andrew

02.01.2022 Given the tightening of restrictions of gatherings, issued by the Victorian Government, effective 11:59 pm, 21 June 2020, Church Council urges members to follow the current public health guidelines with wisdom and patience. No more than 5 guests may be in a home. Outdoor gatherings are restricted to groups of 10. The appropriate resumption of church activities is a matter of regular prayer and discussion amongst leadership. At this point we await further government advice on July 12 before being able to consider onsite services on Sunday mornings. We do encourage you to continue caring for one another, keeping in touch as appropriate and upholding your church and community in prayer. We trust God with our future, knowing that He is sovereign and loving towards us.

01.01.2022 Given the further easing of restrictions by the Victorian Government, which came into effect at 11:59pm on 31 May, Church Council now feels that it is appropriate to endorse the following within our church family, stressing full adherence to Government guidelines,* wisdom and care for others in all things. Gatherings of 20 are permitted in homes for Bible study groups, prayer groups, pastoral care and catching up with friends and family; Mums & Munchkins support group... will operate at the church; Worship team will operate at church; Gatherings of 20 outdoors approved recreation activities for groups. We await further advice on 22 June before opening the church building to group activities, anticipating a gradual return to activities in Term 3. Thank you for your understanding and support of these decisions. *Government guidelines include (but are not limited to): social distancing, 4 sqm rule, cleaning, recording attendance.

01.01.2022 Good morning! Happy Easter! Happy Resurrection Sunday! CHRIST IS RISEN! May the Lord bless you today and fill your heart to overflowing with the peace, joy and love of our risen Jesus.... A link to today's service will be available here between 9:30 and noon.
