24.01.2022 We're on our way home from Ballarat with 3 new single sculls! Thanks Amy Morgan and Lachie Mc Grath for your help.

23.01.2022 It's sad to see that the Nestles/Hamilton regatta has been cancelled. We hope to see our friends in Hamilton next year. Time to set our sights on Rutherglen Regatta at Lake Moodemere - January 9 & 10. Who's in?????? Early expressions of interest would be great.

22.01.2022 Hello all! We'll be rowing at 9.30am tomorrow for those who would like a row before the AGM at 11.30am.

22.01.2022 Hi all! With the downgrading of covid-19 restrictions, members can get back out on the water in single sculls. Please make sure that you observe all of the protocols to help protect everyone from the covid virus! Don't forget to pay your membership by September 30 to receive the 25% discount (and to help keep your rowing club going!!!!)

20.01.2022 URGENT!! When we arrived at the club today with our precious cargo of 3 new boats we discovered that an unknown person has left a single scull, oars and tool box in our boat shed. If anyone can shed some light on who it belongs to, I would love to hear from you. With warmest regards, the club captain.

19.01.2022 Hi all! A quick update to let you know that although the COVID-19 restrictions have eased overnight, the pavilion and rowing club still remain closed until further notice from the City of Greater Bendigo. I know you're all keen to get back on the water but please be patient. I joined a Rowing Victoria meeting last night to discuss their recommendations for getting rowers back on the water safely. I will send out an update as soon as I have more info. Sally Morgan - Captain.

18.01.2022 Happy to be back in her boat!

18.01.2022 Hi all You will see the poster below up in the boatshed. It is crucial that this protocol is followed. Please take the time to read and follow it so that we can continue to access our boats.

17.01.2022 BENDIGO REGATTA CANCELLED. Sadly, I have to confirm that the Bendigo Sprint Regatta will not be going ahead this year. Given that we are still only allowed to have a group of 10 on the water at one time and that Melbourne is still in lockdown, the committee have decided that we cannot go ahead at this point in time. We are not prepared to put our local community or our rowing community at risk. We look forward to seeing you all in the near future! Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

17.01.2022 JUNIOR UPDATE (29/7/2020): Junior rowing will continue as planned tomorrow night at 4pm. 17.01.2022 Hello all! From 6am tomorrow the club will be reopening for restricted use. Watch out for an email from our president, Cathleen, explaining the guidelines and protocols. There are also signs up in the shed with hand sanitizer and a logbook that everyone must complete. At this stage, rowers can only row in a single scull or take an ergo outside to use. Please email your planned session time to [email protected]. The code on the gym door has been changed so you will need to request that from Cathleen.

07.01.2022 Dear rowing community, As a result of the current social distancing measures in Melbourne, it is with great disappointment that we advise you we will not be run...ning the annual Saltwater Challenge on the first Saturday in September this year. This decision has been a difficult one as we believe that the physical and mental health benefits of getting back in the boat are so important right now, however, (and we are sure you will all agree) the safety of this community is paramount. We would like to assure you that our regatta committee is working closely with Rowing Victoria to explore all of our options including the possibility of a virtual quad regatta (at a later date) if restrictions are eased enough. We would love to be involved this season if we can and we will let you know if we find a way to make this possible. Stay safe! Saltwater challenge committee on behalf of the Essendon Rowing Club

07.01.2022 Hello all Sadly, I have just received an email from Rowing Victoria advising that all regional rowing clubs should close due to the return to Stage 3 Covid-19 restrictions. The committee will let you know as soon as there is any change in restrictions allowing us back into the club.... Please stay safe and well! Sally Morgan Club Captain
