24.01.2022 | An invitation for our young people to join in | KYC will be hosting an Online Treaty Yarning Circle with the young members of the First Peoples Assembly of Victoria on Wednesday 1 July from 4-6pm. This opportunity is for Aboriginal & Torres Strait islander young people living in Victoria aged 14-28 years old.... This yarning circle will be an opportunity for young people to come together online, have a yarn and hear updates from the members and ask questions about Treaty, as a follow up from the First Peoples Assembly of Victorias Chamber meeting live stream last week. The Talking First Nations panel event online (via live streaming) with Shonae and Tashara facilitating will include guest Designers and Artists from the exhibition such as Lyn-Al Young, Lisa Waup, and Arkie Barton. Dr Glenn Harrison is a proud Wotjobaluk man and is one of our incredible healthcare heroes working as an ED specialist during the COVID-19 pandemic. 21.01.2022 Over the weekend a large COVID-19 cluster has been linked to suburbs North Melbourne, Flemington and Kensington which resulted in a stage 3 lockdown that went into effect midnight on Saturday 4 July 2020. North Melbourne, Flemington and Kensington, in postcodes 3031 and 3051, joined 36 other postcodes who were placed in stage 3 lockdown last week. After the success of Uncle Ricks COVID-19 Rap, the Nalderun Community, supported by a brilliant creative team have faciliated another amazing musical project to deliver the important message about public health and well being for all. "Its been a really hard time for a lot of people during lockdown and r...estrictions...we hope that this will warm your hearts and encourage you all to get connected with each other, with Country, cultural identity, family, friends and Community Elders" - Declan Furber Gillick - Song Writer and Community Arts Facilitator.
