21.01.2022 Welcome back to our members! Very happy to see you all at our covid safe classes.

21.01.2022 SCHOOL OPEN MONDAY 22nd - RESTRICTED CLASSES We apologise for the short notice, it has been a pretty sad week for the school. Please read the attached return to school plan thoroughly before attending and if you have any questions or want to clarify something please message the karate page for further info.... The below is of course the plan however can be subject to change if conditions worsen and restrictions are tightened. Restrictions have changed again today with tightening around family/in house gatherings however gyms and indoor sporting groups are still allowed to go ahead at this stage. Be safe all, we hope to see you soon and remember if you can kick them or they can kick you then you are too close Osu!

21.01.2022 **Update for today's class** Classes will run as planned tonight. As most of you will be aware the recent announcement is for groups to now be limited to 100ppl.... As schools, clubs and sporting groups are allowed to stay open so will we. Currently there are no confirmed cases in Bendigo even such we will continue to practice our good hygiene habits. The school is cleaned on a daily basis and there is plenty of soap with 2 sinks available for hand washing. Below is a link to the state governments information and updates on the virus, please keep yourself informed with factual information. https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus-covid-19-daily-upda

18.01.2022 ** COVID-19 UPDATE** Come to class, we're well prepared. As some of you are already aware we are part of Stewie's House of BJJ. The school is in a constant state of assessment in regards to its operations.... This is happening on a daily basis and rest assured that any decisions made in regards to limiting services provided at Stewie’s House of BJJ will be based on expert consensus, government recommendations. At this stage classes will be as normal, however this may change within the next 24 hours. This is an ongoing, fluid situation that we will continue to monitor and provide updates as the situation evolves. It is quite possible that classes over the coming weeks may need to be cancelled at short notice. In order to keep our activities as safe as possible, there are some simple conditions we have introduced (there will be no exceptions to these): 1) Do not turn up to training if you’re feeling ill. This includes, runny nose, sore throat, fever, stomach pain, coughing etc. You will be politely asked to leave. 2) If your family members or house mates that you live with are ill, do not turn up to training. 3) Only clean training gear is acceptable, this includes clean training bags, shoes, thongs (Flip Flops) and any other clothing items. 4) Follow club hygiene practices at all times. The club is cleaned every day, mats mopped, benches wiped, touch points sprayed etc. We go to great lengths to provide a clean environment to train in. Without your assistance with this by following basic rules of hygiene, it reduces our ability to provide such an environment to train in. Hygiene is everyone’s responsibility! The following is a link to the governments fact sheet on the coronavirus, it is a good read with valuable information. https://www.health.gov.au//coronavirus-covid-19-frequently

18.01.2022 ** COVID-19 UPDATE** Given the ever increasing numbers of active cases in Bendigo and the fact gyms must close Wednesday night anyway we have decided that all current classes are to cease immediately until Wednesday 16th of September (This is subject to change however if we are all lucky and things improve). For those wishing to suspend their membership during these difficult times please email us directly at [email protected] or send a message to the Facebook page.... For those able and willing to keep supporting the club during this pandemic, your loyalty and commitment is truly appreciated. We will be continuing to support our members training whilst in lockdown through the following options; ~ online weekly classes through zoom ~ online private lessons through zoom for tailored advice/instruction ~ online videos of belt requirements ~ online videos of drills, knowledge and tips ~ tailored advice/instruction on videos sent to us through email For access or information to any of the above please feel free to contact us. This is a hard time for everyone for so many reasons. Please be kind and compassionate to those around you and don't be afraid to seek help and talk about it all. And remember exercising is good for you providing an outlet for all those crazy emotions zipping around your head right now! Stay safe everyone and see you online for now. Regards Mr and Mrs Watts

14.01.2022 We are very much looking forward to resuming contact training on Monday 23/11/20. As you are aware we have been asking that students book for classes so that we are able to maintain our covid requirements. Fortunately we have so far been able to accommodate all of our members requests for their selected classes and we hope to maintain this going forward. The booking process has been rather time consuming and managing last minute bookings and cancellations is difficult but we... understand sometimes unavoidable. To assist in keeping track of future bookings we will be making use of the setmore semi automated booking facility. Below is listed the links required to book for our classes from now on.. Simply click on the link and make your booking for either one class at a time or for any classes listed. Classes will be listed over a week in advance and the link will remain the same for each class type. Thanks everyone for your assistance and for your ongoing support. If you require any assistance contact Mr Watts or Mrs Watts via your regular channels. 02.01.2022 Just a quick update on the current restrictions and what they mean in regards to the resumption of our classes. At this stage it looks like the Victorian government plans to allow indoor group fitness classes (where karate falls) to resume with conditions on 22nd of June. We are working hard in conjunction with Stewies House of BJJ to plan for reopening. As our venue has numerous front line health workers, emergency service personal and many essential workers that train or ar...e connected we will be going above and beyond the government requirements to reopen. This may be a small inconvenience to us and mean we are not ready to recommence the very day that the Victorian government allow us too as we may need to undertake some final preparations. Keeping in mind that it would only take one connected case of Covid 19 and we would have to lockdown the venue and impact/disrupt numerous health and emergency service workers in our region. Stewie and John like the rest of us are very eager to see the resumption of classes as soon as we practicably can. The proposed dates of restrictions easing are very promising we look forward to seeing you all on the mat again in the not to distant future. In the meantime our members are strongly encouraged to take part in our online zoom classes and youtube reference material. See more

01.01.2022 At this time due to the current pandemic and government restrictions we are uncertain of when we will reopen and resume normal services. We will continue to provide online support to all club members through our additional facebook page and YouTube videos. If you do not have access to these please message us and we will invite you.... I cannot thank all of our members enough for all the support, comments and check in's we have been getting. I love our karate family and miss everyone, this little community means a lot to our family so please look after yourselves and your families. Those that need to suspend their membership during the pandemic, please don't hesitate to contact Mr Watts on 0400 639 289 or through messenger. I hope everyone is safe and healthy. We can get through this together and see each other on the mat on the other side! Regards Mrs Watts
