25.01.2022 An incredible photo of lightning striking. Lightning strikes are quite difficult to capture, not everyone understands that a lightning storm is highly unpredictable, and how a strike could occur any time. Well done with this capture Mack. 25.01.2022 Matthew Cope is a photographer from Tampa Photography Group he goes go by (M.C Photography) Matt ventured out of his local area of St.Pete Florida and headed down to Bradenton riverwalk. He decided to look for something that stood out and something you don't see every day. There was a train track bridge that went across the Manatee River that was old and no longer in use. Matt wanted that to be in the photo so he searched around an noticed a small mangrove plant growing out o...f a wood pillar an that is something you don't see every day an the two just clicked. Matt wanted the plant as his main subject and the train tracks to be in the background. In any scene with several subjects or objects in the front and back of the frame, the foreground elements will catch the eye in the first instant. If the foreground was empty this would have given the image less impact. Photo Credit: Matt Cope Tampa Photography Group Want to improve your photography, have fun, and meet new people? 19.01.2022 Photographing a moving subject requires the photographer to ensure focus is spot on whilst tracking the subject. In this image from Daniel 'Shez Sheridan of the Bournemouth Photography Group he has captured a fantastic image of Skippy The Boxer dog in full flight. The combination of a long lens and a wide aperture ensures Skippy is the focus of the viewers eye. Want to improve your photography, have fun, and meet new people? 19.01.2022 A time, a place, an emotion. Slower shutter speeds like 1/60 second and slower cause a blurring effect. If you want to take a picture using a slow shutter speed, it is best to mount the camera on a tripod and to reduce the chance of any unwanted camera movement. 18.01.2022 Thank you to Tim Murphy from Phoenix Photography Group for sharing your image with our global posts. The base image was captured on Nov 18, 2017 at a Pow Wow at Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation. The background is the result of several overlay layers on multiple blend modes. Look closely in the lower-left corner - that is a petroglyph, photographed in the Monument Valley Tribal Park last October. 13.01.2022 The composition of an image whilst filling the frame can turn an ordinary image into an extraordinary image, as Matthew Welsby of the Adelaide Photography Group has done. His tight crop on this plane captured during the 2019 Avalon Air Show is striking and the viewer is left with no doubt as to the power of this plane or this image. 12.01.2022 A good example of the rules of composition here from Christian, using both the rule of thirds and symmetry, plus a nice sunset as well. This was my first trip to Severn Beach. It took an hour of moving every few minutes to get the perfect shot of the sun setting in the centre of the bridge. Photo Credit: Christian Watton from the Bristol Photography Club.... 03.01.2022 Charles saw storms rolling in, so he began to drive toward them to catch bolts off of the ocean. Though by the time he arrived, it had died out. He wasn't going home empty-handed, so instead he glanced at the radar and saw cells coming from the west. He drove further and finally settled on a location and found a nice, dark open spot. The bolts gave him this spectacular show. Charles Jeffery Ferrell Orlando Photography Group Want to improve your photography, have fun, and meet... new people?
