Students have been busy working during remote learning to create a wide range of different designs and final presentations. 23.01.2022 This week in Year 7 Art, students are developing an understanding of the Art Element of Tone. Tone is simply the lightness or darkness of an object. Adding tone to an artwork can make it appear three dimensional and realistic. Students are creating a painting using tone with mediums found in their kitchens at home including coffee, tea and food colouring.

13.01.2022 Important Information regarding the Start of Term 4 2020 has been sent to BSE Parents/ Carers. The following changes remain subject to the advice of Victoria’s Chief Health Officer: Term 4 Week 1 (5th to 9th October) will continue to be Remote and Flexible Learning for all students.... Monday 5th October is a Pupil Free Day with the Parent/ Student/ Teacher Conferences on the same day. From 12th October, BSE (and all schools in rural and regional Victoria) will have all students return to full-time on-site schooling by Friday 16 October. More updates will be provided in the coming weeks to all BSE students and families as information becomes available. Thank you for your support during this time, and for during the second remote and flexible learning phase this year. #StriveForExcellence

11.01.2022 Yesterday, Mr Paul Rowland along with our brightest and best STEM students have participated in the International Excellence in Innovative Teaching online forum on Wednesday. The virtual event was organised by Young Change Agents' CEO who are a group of teachers from North Carolina who have all won teaching awards for the innovative work they do in schools and counties across the USA. They are part of the Go Global program and are connected with them through one of their int...ernational partners. These teachers want to share their experience and learnings with teachers in Australia and hear from some people in Australia that are doing innovative work in our schools. Mr Rowland has been nominated for an exceptional teaching practice award. He spoke about the Young Change Agents project about the wonderful work he has been doing in education, including in STEM at BSE. Lily from Project Plant, Cooper and Adler from Ed-Level-Up, and Lilly and Mia from Teach me Bees also attended the session to present their experiences. #StriveForExcellence

On-site Attendance forms for Term 4 Week 1 are required must be completed and returned by tomorrow morning. (Forms available https://www.bse.vic.edu.au/remote-and-flexible-learning/)... Starting Monday 12th October, BSE will return to on-site learning in a staggered approach. Monday 12th October - All Staff and Base Camp program students only. 13th October - Year 7 & Year 10 students only. Despite concerns COVID-19 would not allow this event to happen, it was great to see the Class of 2020 together for one last time.
