23.01.2022 Update - Re-commencement of stage 3 restrictions. As you would be aware from midnight this Wednesday, regional Victoria will be going back into stage 3 lockdown, which will once again be forcing the closure of our Centre. After coming together to discuss how to best approach this we have decided that we would bring this closure forward ourselves and make it effective immediately as of Sunday the 2nd of August. With growing case numbers and the increased spread through the com...munity we feel this is the best course of action to take in helping stop the spread of this horrible virus. This decision was not made lightly and both your club and Centre will need your help to get though our newest shutdown phase. We very much appreciate all the help and support our community have provided so far and we hope we will still be able to see this amazing generosity going forward. More information will be provided to our members regarding Pennants and Junior training in the coming days. We thank you all for your understanding and wish you all good health. 21.01.2022 Yesterday Bendigo received the unfortunate news that a number of schools would be closing due to the possible spread of the Covid Virus. As a communal venue that has many people attend daily, including children, we have an obligation to look after the health and well-being of these staff, club members and patrons alike. Due to this we ask that if you or your family has been affected by these closures that you please do not attend the Centre until all contact tracing and testing has been complete for both yourself and your family. We all have to do our part to help stop the spread of this horrible virus and look after each other. If this affects your pennant availability we ask you to please get in contact with the Centre. We thank you for your understanding and wish you all good health.

17.01.2022 Some fantastic news to start off our week! Junior sport to receive a HUGE boost!!! The Vic government are providing monetary vouchers to help get kids back to sport, making it the perfect time to get involved in Squash and our great junior programs. You won’t want to miss this opportunity. For info on our programs you can head to our website. www.bendigosquash.com... Details about the vouchers are as follows, Applications will open at 10am on Monday 1 March. To apply for a voucher, your child must be aged between 4 and 18 years old, a Victorian resident, and be named on either an Australian Government Healthcare Card or Pensioner Concession Card. 13.01.2022 Update - After Hours Access Fantastic news for your Tuesday morning, our After Hours Access is back and will be available from Wednesday Dec 16th, just in time for our Christmas break. All those with current after hours use will receive their new lock box code within the next 24 hours (security codes will remain the same). For those not on Direct Debit our After Hours Access is $25 for the Christmas period and you must be a member of Bendigo Squash Club to join, further conditions apply. 12.01.2022 Change to Open Hours! Due to the return of our Pennants our open hours have now changed. Monday - Thursday 4pm - 9pm... Friday 4pm - 7pm Saturday 10am - 1pm Covid restrictions have not eased so we still can only allow 20 people in Centre at a time. Only 1 court will be available for Hire between the hours of 6pm and 9pm Mon-Thurs so make sure to book early and avoid missing out.

12.01.2022 Re-open Update. As you may have seen yesterday we were preparing to reopen our Centre. Unfortunately due to Government red tape we will not be able to do so, but only for those over the age of 18. After speaking with DHHS they have reclassified all indoor centres into two groups, Fitness, including gyms and aerobic/dance studio, and Sport, which our centre falls under. As of Oct 28th only those under the 'Fitness' classification can reopen. We apologies for getting everyone's... hopes up, it is very disappointing that some centres can open while we must remain closed. All however is not lost we are still able to reopen for those that are 18 years and under. This means we will still be going ahead with our Junior training programs on Tuesday and Friday evenings. All the more reason to get the kids off the couch and back into sport so if you have any children or have friends with kids that want to get active and meet new friends be sure to spread the word. Not the usual red tape we are used to dealing with on court but stay well, stay safe and we hope to see everyone back in centre soon.

12.01.2022 Update 22/11/20 Return to Play! This is it everyone, the moment you've all been waiting for, the Bendigo Squash Centre will be open for play...for real this time. From Monday 23/11 all adult social hits to resume with our centre cap being a whooping 150 people!... Centre Open hours Mon - Thur 4pm - 9pm, Fri 4pm - 7pm & Sat 10am - 1pm All walk-ins accepted with bookings no longer essential however we are expecting many people to be keen to get back on court so if you wish to guarantee a court and time it may be best to still book ahead. To help with court management we do ask that if you wish to hit after 8pm to also still book. We will be looking at getting our group training and competitions back soon so now is the perfect chance to come and get some form back or have a go at something new so you're ready to go when the time comes. Well post further updates as dates are confirmed. No change to our Junior programs, these will still run through to the Christmas break. *REMINDER masks are still required in Centre if you are not engaged on court or in a match in progress so please still carry them with you. We cant wait to see you all there, lets come out swinging and get our Centre back to its usual self.

10.01.2022 Centre Update 20/11/20 We hope you have all been well. As you may be aware the 23rd of November is our expected reopen date for our centre. While I'm sure many of you will have plenty of questions as to what our return to play will look like, the simple answer at this stage is we just don't know. Once the Vic Government, DHHS and Squash & Racquetball Victoria advise us on what we can and can't do, further updates will be provided via our facebook and our website so keep an ey...e out for that, likely to be Sunday 22nd. Until then this is what we do know. - Juniors 18 and under will continue to have full use of the centre with our trainings run on Tuesday and Friday evenings - Centre Capacity limits to increase to 100 persons including adults. 06.01.2022 It's that time again...OPEN time As was released yesterday we will be able to reopen the Centre from this Wednesday 28th October. Here's some things to remember. Bookings again will be essential to secure a Court.... We will be returning to initial reopening rules so training drills only (No match play) and no more than 2 adults per court. Our Juniors training will be resuming this Friday at their normal time of 5pm and continue Tuesdays and Fridays thereafter. (1 parent per child may stay to supervise, dependent on playing numbers) Maximum of 20 people in Centre at any given time. Our full kiosk will be available to purchase equipment and beverages.
