25.01.2022 Starting this Tuesday 23/02/2021 at 10am if anyone is interested! The BowlAbilities program is a National initiative from Tenpin Bowling Australia that has been designed for teens and adults with a disability who have little to no tenpin bowling experience. The program runs for 6 weeks, with participants taking part in a one hour session on the same day and time weekly, run by a qualified tenpin bowling coach. Participants will learn: Improved balance, hand eye coordination a...nd physical activity levels How to correctly deliver a bowling bowl How to target correctly for improved accuracy and higher scores A sense of achievement as you progress through each level of the program Increased confidence in a social setting and leadership skills. Each session introduces a new topic and skill, building on the previous week's knowledge. Lane carpets are used to allow participants to learn from a progressively easy to more challenging position as they master the new skills, culminating in a modified scoring challenge each week of two 5-frame games. Participants are rewarded for their achievements with wrist bands and certificates. Cost to participants: The eight week program normally costs $10 per week, however through Tenpin Bowling Australia's partnership with Reclink, we are able to offer a 50% discount until June 30th (term 1 and 2). Participants are required to pay $40 up front and attend as many sessions as possible to ensure the most effective learning outcomes. Who is it suitable for: The program is designed for teens and adults with varying degrees of intellectual or physical disability. As it's a learning program, participants should be new to the game of tenpin bowling or have only participated irregularly in a social setting previously. It's designed to provide a pathway for people to participate in other programs such as the Reclink social sessions or disability leagues after 1-3 terms. To be eligible for a discount, participants must be referred through Reclink or associated partnerships by providing the code: RECLINKBENDIGO Participants or support personnel can sign up at the following link: https://bowlabilities.com.au/participant-registration/ Thanks,

03.01.2022 Hi everyone, Please see message that has been passed onto us from the fabulous Stephen & John from All In Sports who have been calling the Futuristic games. Don’t forget to tune in. Good luck to the final 4 teams and of course to our Bendigo Suns Team ... Hi everybody, On behalf of John and myself we want to say thank you to everyone for your support of this new and unique concept. We hope you have enjoyed the episodes and the games as much as we have loved doing it. Above all we hope this has brought some joy to the players and some promotion during an extremely difficult year for them. We have tried to call every player as much as possible and hopefully made some cult heroes along the way. As you may be aware, we are down to our final 4 with Preliminary Final #1 (Wodonga v Geelong Dragons Bartel) tonight, and Preliminary Final #2 tomorrow night (Ballarat v Bendigo). For all teams that do not make the Grand Final we apologies but please do not take offence, it is completely random and unfortunately to have a Grand Final we can only have 2-teams. Our Grand Final will air on Thursday night at 7pm and we would love as many of you as possible to jump on and comment, like, share the post. Again, we welcome any feedback for this concept and feel free to call John or myself with any questions or concerns. Thanks again everyone, we hope you've had fun.

03.01.2022 Hey Suns players. South Bendigo are having a family day. Time is 12pm-3pm. You can join in the fun after our Come and try day.
