22.01.2022 I was lucky enough to be able to attend the latest Diamonds Camera workshop overnight Friday. We gathered at Monarto Zoo in the afternoon, settled in with a magnificent Dinner, got to play hands on and chat about the latest gear by Sony with Peter, learnt a massive amount about Astrophotography with Will Godward, before retiring to the swag. Next morning was a presentation by Will after a great breakfast. Much coffee needed after such a brilliant day.

17.01.2022 Flinders magic! Packed up camp in the dark, drove to this iconic lookout, received the best morning of soft light I could imagine. I don't know how many images of this spot I have looked at over the years, many of them have inspired me and kept me longing to capture something even close. I didn't go in with this plan, but I had a gut feel that the light was going to be on point. I don't feel this image really does it justice, but it was just magic.

16.01.2022 2020 Bay to Birdwood - Celebrating 40 years I set myself a bit of a challenge for this year, I wanted to capture the connection between the drivers, the passengers and the machines. The thrill of the drive. Driving an older vehicle is something pretty special, each vehicle having it's own little quirks. Does the vehicle become a part of the family? Or do you become a part of it? ... Instead of 'freezing time' I wanted to use a super wide angle, and slow shutter speed. Nailing the focus and pan speed was difficult (and many of these fall short) but over all happy with the results. Even though the party at Birdwood was not allowed due to COVID restrictions, you could feel the atmosphere just sitting on the side of the road. Please feel free to share. 13.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS MR & MRS SCHMID ! What a super relaxed, intimate wedding. A great couple with a fantastic outlook and sense of humour. Lots of laughs during the day, a privilege and honour to capture.
