12.01.2022 One of the many valuable lessons from Covid has been the increased focus on the importance of being mentally healthy, and the normalisation of experiencing a mental health condition. The increased dialogue around mental health has brought into sharper focus the need to have a Mentally Healthy Workplace. As the number of people working from home has increased, with many people (not all!) experiencing a great positive from this change, it has highlighted the degree of toxicity ...or lack of focus about mental health that exists in many workplaces. I have heard a lot of people talking about how they feel very anxious about returning to their workplace, and how they feel mentally healthier working from home. There are a number of lessons to learn from this - it really is time for workplaces to start asking themselves the hard questions about their workplace.
