20.01.2022 Been busy out in Cockburn relocating beehives and swarms from residents houses :D This bee swarm decided to make a compost bin their home! It has since been moved to one of our beehives in the bush. A vote for Ben Meyers is a vote for the Bees!! ... Cockburn council candidate for East Ward. Cap rate rises - we pay too much. Support our 8300 small businesses. Tackle traffic which is crippling our community. Protect our rural suburbs.

Im offering my hard work mindset and pragmatic decision making skills to help with critical local issues:... 1. Traffic that is driving us up the wall. We need Roe 8 approved! 2. Stopping the continual increases in our rates, we pay a huge yearly fee. 3. Supporting all 8300 local businesses that keep our community healthy. 4. Begin talks about localized recycling capability and battery energy storage. 5. Protect our rural suburbs, stop rural rezoning and truck traffic bypassing. Vote Ben Meyers. It'll be the best decision you make this year :D

07.01.2022 0% Rate Rises is what i will push for if elected. I am standing to have our rate increases stopped. With a council spend review and budget waste removed we can target a 5% saving, negating a need to raise rates. Is our council testing each project tender, can we save money on overspend and can we remove waste?... We pay huge rate fees in Cockburn - its time to cut the waste and give us residents a break from rate increases. Cockburn has one of the highest rates of mortgage stress in WA, people don't need to be charged more for living here. A vote for me is a vote for someone who will actively pursue this day in, day out.

04.01.2022 A couple of things that concern me both as a candidate, and a resident who is voting in our local cockburn elections. 1. Sitting Councillors assisting candidates. Just bad character really - not very Australian. Leave campaigning as a fair playing field. 2. Bullying and defamation. Experienced candidates use structured groups to harass several candidates, defaming them and trolling online. Expected a little of this, but wow - what a mess.... I'm not into undercutting or crap work ethics. Hard, honest work ethic and a good character are whats needed, and what i offer you for my vote. Hard work selfy, after about 20km of skiing across Vatjanokull glacier with a sled :D
