22.01.2022 Footpaths and Cycleways Safe access to local parks, business and community spaces are important to residents of Division 7. As Division 7 grows, the maintenance of current footpaths and cycleways will be as key as establishing new paths to connect our communities to facilities. ... If elected, I will be working with Division 7’s residents to maintain and improve current footpaths and cycleways while advocating for the connections your community needs. I will also ensure current projects like the $7.5M signalised intersection with pedestrian crossing and shared pathways at Boundary and Old Gympie Roads in Dakabin are delivered. 17.01.2022 That’s a wrap! It was always going to be a difficult task to win, especially being a unknown candidate with only 7 weeks up my sleeve to campaign. In the end, to have 25% of the vote of Division 8 is a pretty good result from a standing start. ... I’ve learned a lot and met a wealth of people in our community. There are things I’d do again and do differently next time I run. Starting today, the first thing I plan on doing is getting more involved with the community. If you’re part of a community organisation, please reach out, I’d love to hear from you. To everyone who voted for me, thank you for all your support. Four years is a short time, but I’m in this for the long haul. Finally a special thank you to my wife, Jodi. 06.01.2022 While we wait for votes to be counted, I would just like to take a moment to show appreciation to a special group of people. In the whirlwind which was my campaign, what has been achieved in such a short amount of time wasn’t done alone. There was a fantastic team of volunteers and supporters that helped get the word out to lay the platform. From web and online support, to roadsides, signage, letterbox drops, pre-poll support and the list goes on. The friends, family and... community members who have taken time out of their lives and put themselves out there to help, from the bottom of my heart, thank you very much! We have achieved so much together! You have been the foundation which has kept me optimistic and forging forward to be all that I can be for our community.
