24.01.2022 Here is a shot from the past Crawley Boat Shed over in Perth. I have this in large print inside the entrance to my home and every time I see it reminds me of my travels over to WA. Hope you enjoy this and have all had a great weekend.
23.01.2022 I hope everyone's week is going great. I haven't had much chance to get out lately as Ive had a bit of a rush on with work but did manage to capture this down at the Harbour last week. Hope you enjoy.
23.01.2022 Last shot for this evening had to share this one from Friday morning with Gary down at Turimetta. We thought it wouldn't be too eventful until we noticed this huge cloud forming and rolling over the hill from the west. We waited for a while and then boom this is what happened. It was an awesome morning session and we both had a great time catching some new compositions down there while the beach has been heavily exposed from the recent swell along the coastline it has created some unique spots to photograph. Canon Eosr 18mm iso 500 f9.5 for 30seconds
22.01.2022 Check out a few moments from a trip to Turimetta yesterday where we photographed some whales off the beach. Have a great day everyone hope you enjoy the shots.

20.01.2022 Some Perfect Pooches from the weekend Pawtraits
20.01.2022 This is one of my favourites from a series of portraits I've been working on for the last few months. Its a series of family and close friends who I've known over my life and of people who have been of great influence and support to me and my family. So look out you may get the call to jump in front of the camera. For those that don't know this is my brother Luke. He's an absolute legend brother, mate and awesome uncle to my daughter.
19.01.2022 Spotted this butterfly this afternoon in the yard and just had to get the 100mm macro out for a spin. Canon EosR 5 100mm ef lens
19.01.2022 Last Sunrise for 2020, what a year for everyone. I am grateful for awesome friends and family and hope for a great 2021. Everyone that has supported me with my venture into Pawtraits By Ben (Pet Photography) I thank you and hope to be able to take on more bookings once everything settles down. Let's make the most of what's left for 2020 and bring on a new year.
19.01.2022 Had a great morning down at Turimetta for sunrise today and man it went off. Its such a great place to photograph if ever you have a chance head down there and do some exploring. Hope you enjoy this and have a great weekend.

18.01.2022 I love and early morning start down at the Harbour before a job . Bit flat this morning on the Harbour but well worth getting out and about. Its only sleep right ;) Hope everyone has been having a good day. Not long to the weekend
17.01.2022 This was taken one morning in April up at Mona Vale. A bit of fire in the sky mixed in with some motion from the tide change. Hope everyone has a great day today and not long to the weekend. Hope you enjoy this photo.
17.01.2022 Not a bad sunrise with a touch of smoke above the horizon from the latest back burning on the northern beaches.
17.01.2022 Something a little different to shoot this morning. Crown at Barangaroo otherwise known as Packer's Pecker. This is a composite image as the sky was pretty flat this morning when I was there with Gary and there were a few cranes around so to make it look cleaner I tidied it up to try and match what I had in my mind when I saw the mist over it this morning.
16.01.2022 I wanted to share some recent Pawtraits By Ben taken last weekend. I have been working the last few months on photographing Dogs of all sizes, age and breed and have really embraced the change. Although I absolutely still love a good adventure out for my landscapes this has helped me this year with not being able to travel. Hope you enjoy. Ive got another page Pawtraits By Ben head over and check it out for something different.
16.01.2022 Its a wet old day today in Sydney. This mornings moody sunrise just before this rain hit the Beaches. This is Long Reef. Have a great day and hope this photo puts a smile on your dial.
16.01.2022 I love catching that Golden Glow of the Morning sun hitting the Opera House. Hope everyone has had a great start to the week. Enjoy this little moment captured over the Harbour on Saturday. Canon EosR 70-200mm f2.8 Lens

Im keen to give the focus stack system a go never had that before in camera.
14.01.2022 Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I managed to catch up with a mate up in Avalon on Friday morning some moody seascape action. Check this out and have a great rest of the weekend.
14.01.2022 Today I managed a quick portrait of my gorgeous wife Helen. I was practising some lighting in the studio and Helen walked in so I asked her to step in front of the camera, bit of an on the spot moment. To be honest I find I'm always that little bit nervous when I'm trying to capture a moment or character of someone I'm photographing. I try to make people laugh or think or build an expression that brings out their character. On this occasion I am thrilled to have captured Helens beautiful smile and warmth. It isn't often that I'm able to photograph Helen in the studio as i usually put pressure on myself to take that "perfect shot" I have come to believe there isn't a "perfect shot" just like life isn't perfect. Its how you see the world and the people around you that matters the most. I love this Photo. I love my wife
13.01.2022 I hope everyone has had a great weekend. I managed to get a few shots early Saturday morning with a few friends over in the city. Hope you enjoy these and have a great start to the week.

11.01.2022 I hope everyone has a great day today here is one from the other day down at the Harbour
11.01.2022 Caught up with a great friend of mine Craig down at Turimetta this morning. Always a pleasure to head out with Craig and we both like a good sunrise seascape. Not the sharpest of photos for me but I like the light on his face and reflection from his glasses. Taken on the fly so probably should have checked my shutter speed but I still really like this shot it captures the moment and character of my mate. Cheers Craig.
11.01.2022 Here is a map of some of my favourite locations to photograph around Sydney. I put this together some time ago but feel free to send me any shots of the locations you have been to on the list or spots you might suggest. Leave your photo in the comments id be really interested to see some of your shots. https://www.benholmesphotography.com.au/bens-spots
09.01.2022 Managed a trip across the Harbour this morning for some moody cloudy shots. Great to be back out again so decided to head to Blues Point on my way home. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
08.01.2022 Hope everyone has had a great start to the week. This is a photo taken at Somersby Falls up on the central coast. I tried to Focus Stack this using a method used and explained in a recent video by Brett Wood. Check out his page if you don't already as he shows some really incredible scenery and photography and also provides tips along the way. Im not entirely sure this works however I'm happy with the focus stack method as the image is sharp all the way through the photo and shows a full amount of detail. Its 3 images starting from the bottom, middle and top and then blended in photoshop. Click on the image to check it out hope you enjoy this and I'll give this method another go soon.
08.01.2022 That moment when the sun breaks through the clouds over the horizon to start a new day. Hope you enjoy this one captured at Mona Vale this morning. Canon R5 RF24-105f4 lens
08.01.2022 Bronte Baths put on a great show this morning with some colour and flow. Hope everyone is having a great day back at work if you are or enjoying yourself out and about.

07.01.2022 I hope everyone had been well and had a great weekend. I havent had time to head out for Landscapes the last week has been busy with work which im grateful for. Luckily I managed to head out with a mate and his daughter to the Zoo for some animal shots. Hope these put a smile on your dial and you have a great week. Thank you for all your support. Captured with Canon R5 70-200mm f2.8
06.01.2022 Bit of a story to this one. So had some work in Armidale on wednesday so headed off tuesday arvo in an attempt to get to a little chapel in the bush call Gostwyck Chapel. I knew I had left too late to get there for sunset but tried. I was about 5ks away heading over a hill and was absolutely struck by what I witnessed. The moon was just heading above the horizon and as I came over the crest leading into the valley this is what I witnessed. The road leading along meandering th...rough the hills leading to the moon. I knew I had to stop and capture it. The light was just insane. You'd swear this was the sun but the colour coming from the moon was so rich and the light was warm and running all through the grass alone with having light from behind me of the setting sun which had just dipped down behind me. It was just incredible to photograph. if ever you can get out and explore NSW then check out Gostwyck Chapel. Thats another photo to share with you. This moment however is one ill never forget. Hope you enjoy this and if you see this on your computer click on the image for a better view.
06.01.2022 The Coat Hanger what better way to end the day than to stop off and have a shoot at one of my favourite spots. I had the exposure set for 10seconds and if you look close you can see the effect it has had of the train crossing the bridge.
04.01.2022 I managed to get a really special sunrise yesterday up at Avalon. Hope everyone enjoys this shot it was taken on my brothers birthday and the first day of spring. Canon EosR5 15-35mm f2.8 with some Nisi love
03.01.2022 Hope everyone has a great day today
03.01.2022 This is Gostwyck Chapel. Such and awesome location to photograph and from what ive seen it is incredible just towards the middle to end of autumn. An amazing sunrise yesterday with the light covering the front of the chapel and rock wall which was built to hold back flooding which occurs at certain times. Cold was a nice way of saying how it felt getting up in the morning. The car froze over which was fun but still well worth the experience. I put the boiler on and made a nice cuppa and just watched the light build and put the shots together after trying some different compositions. Hope you enjoy this photo it is one location I've book marked for next year thats for sure. Disclaimer I have put the light rays in for a touch of class to the photo.
03.01.2022 On my way home lastnight I had a very quick chance to photograph local Beaches based Photographer Hirsty Photography down at Narrabeen. Driving home I just couldn't miss the opportunity to pull the car over and get a quick shot of an amazing sky full of colour and what better spot than over Narrabeen Lagoon. Have a great day everyone.
03.01.2022 This was taken at Cronulla one morning earlier this year, hope everyone has a great weekend.
03.01.2022 Had a good morning out down at the Harbour watching the sunrise and surprisingly quiet down there. I can feel the warmer weather on its way. Hope everyone has had a great weekend.
01.01.2022 Had a great morning yesterday with a nice bit of colour and reflection over the Harbour. Lets hope the weekend clears up. Enjoy the rest of your week and hope you enjoy this photo. Captured with the Canon EosR5 15-35mm f2.8
