09.01.2022 Happy New Year! :) After many failed attempts at capturing the Aurora Australis in 2015, I was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time last night to capture my first Aurora during the countdown to the new year. A departure from fireworks and celebrations, I was out photographing in Kiama Heights as the clock ticked over to midnight. I was fortunate enough to even get a shooting star. Here's to a great 2016!

08.01.2022 I was fortunate to witness a sunset (over the ocean!) through the clouds whilst exploring The Pinnacles at Phillip Island earlier this year. This pink granite volcanic rock differs from the usual basalt lava flows I search out (e.g. in the Kiama region) in that it is forced up from the core, cools underground and is then exposed through erosion, as opposed to a lava flow cooling on the surface.
