24.01.2022 With that our netball year has drawn to a close. Well done everyone for getting through this season. How lucky we were that we got to have a season at all. Thank you to everyone on the Benkennie committee for your commitment this year. There were alottttttt of emails and correspondence to work with this year. We are excited to have so many new faces joining the committee in 2021. Thank you to our wonderful sponsors who are all back on board in 2021. ... 22.01.2022 This was the committee tonight... walking in expecting to see the usual suspects but so pleased to see so many new faces. We were able to hold our AGM and fill all committee positions, as well as have a team of support people to help when and where they're needed. Bravo. Thank you everyone who came along. We will announce the committee soon.

20.01.2022 COMMITTEE UPDATE It is with great sadness we accept the resignation of our long time president, Gail Lees. Gail has been an absolute stalwart of the club and we are really going to miss her calm guiding hand and great administrative knowledge. We cannot thank her enough for all the hours of dedication to our club. She is not lost to us, but cannot continue in the role of president.... So what does this mean for Benkennie? We cannot operate without a President and Vice President, that position not being filled at the last AGM. For our club to continue to operate in 2021 we will need these positions to be filled at the next AGM. We are a well-oiled machine at Benkennie so the jobs are not onerous but essential for us to operate. Please come and chat with any of the current executives, see what is involved and see what you can do to help our club.

12.01.2022 Match Wrap - Benkennie Bananas Wow! What a game the girls played against MANC Flash yesterday. Our shooters, Abby & Amelia were on fire! They really mixed it up in the circle & confused the defence. We also borrowed Bronte from the 12As. Bronte started in defence but then moved into Centre & Ella went back into defence. Great job by Sophie & Ella defending in the circle - you worked so very hard in keeping up with the shooters & intercepting. Centre court was also amazing - o...ur wings Georgia & Gabby cut off the WA & WD in the centre pass or broke to receive and or intercept the centre pass. They also offered lots on the backline throw ins on the circle. Great job! Well done girls- great win! 32 - 18. Lets hope Ella DC is back from injury & Inez is available so were back to full strength next week. A big thank you to Bronte for playing up. We couldn't have done it without her. See more

09.01.2022 2020 NIGHT COMP TIMES: Scheduled times for the 2020 Social Night Comp season are as follows: Tuesday 8pm - Seniors ... Wednesday 6pm - Juniors Wednesday 7.30pm - Mixed Please note: if we need additional courts per division (seniors/juniors) we will schedule those games for an alternative time on the same day. Please remember that our current COVID-19 plans will remain in operation for night compt - courts will continue to be divided into 3 zones, spectators will be limited, and each club will require a COVID Coordinator to be available at each timeslot that they have teams on the court.

06.01.2022 Hi Benkennie fam it's Jess. Our AGM is next Thursday. We know everyone is busy with their families and lives, but we are a huge Club and we really need some help on the Committee. Every year the same faces are there, but we need to share the load and have some help. It really isn't that much of a huge time commitment if we have a lot of helpers. If you're worried you won't know what to do please don't. I joined the committee in my first year of my daughter playing when I off...ered to help with some graphic design... I ended up taking on the job of social media and website. At first, I felt a bit unsure but everyone is friendly and helpful. So Mum's and Dad's please consider coming along. Even if you don't want an 'official role' you can be a support person where needed. 03.01.2022 SUMMER COMP INFO If you haven't had your fill of netball for 2020 why not register for summer comp? All details are below ------------- Summer comp will be held over two nights, Tuesday and Wednesday.... Starting 6th October - 9th December Seniors will be Tuesday Juniors and mixed will be Wednesday Times and divisions will be confirmed later Summer comp fees are Senior - $70 Junior - $60 Existing player - $50 All teams need to be submitted to Deb via the following email, [email protected] by Sunday 13th September. Players turning 9yrs can play in the 9's division. You must be 18yrs to play in the mixed comp. Senior teams need to find their own umpire. You must have a minimum of 9 players in each team that can commit every week and all games as you CAN NOT borrow from another team. Registration via the My Netball will need to done once your team has been confirmed by Deb.
