21.01.2022 Don't try and jerk your deadlift off the ground. Here my client Eimear is working hard on her technique to try and get out of a habit that she's developed At the bottom of her lift she dips down slightly in anticipation to try and power the weight up, however she loses tension in her arms by bending them. When the tension snaps back on to lift the weight, this will cause a lot of unnecessary jarring in the joints which could lead to unwanted pain. ... Instead, keep the tension in your arms by keeping your elbows locked out and focus on a nice smooth lift using your legs. If it helps, think of the bar as stationary and you're trying to push the ground downwards rather than trying to lift the weight upwards. Your joints will thank you later

20.01.2022 Amazing transformation by client Heather over a span of 3 months Classic case of introducing strength training combined with including more protein in the diet. If you're wanting your own transformation like Heather, DM me and let's have a chat

16.01.2022 Kettlebell swings are meant to be a lower body workout but if you're not familiar with them, you will probably try to use your arms to swing the weight. Here is my client Heather working on her technique, it's the hip thrusting motion that pops the kettlebell up. Think of your arms as hooks to hold onto the weight and use your hips to thrust forward at the bottom of the movement. As the kettlebell reaches the top of the swing you should be squeezing your butt cheeks togeth...er. Pretend there's a $100 note between your butt cheeks and you're trying to stop it from flying away so clench hard!

05.01.2022 Shoutout to client Peter for staying consistent with his training and nutrition Down 5kg over 8 weeks and improving his overall strength, he didn't think he'd be able to do 100kg deadlifts anymore because of his lower back issues but here he is taking 120kg for a ride Consistency is key
