16.01.2022 Good news on public shelter at Ben Lomond National Park A new shelter at Ben Lomond National Park is a step closer. Award winning Tasmanian architecture company... Cumulus Studio has been engaged to plan and shape the new public shelter. The new shelter will replace the shelter that was destroyed by fire in 2018. The shelter will provide an entry point to the village through a heated internal area, along with amenities including public toilets. The new shelter will provide a great location to take in the views of the ski fields and surrounding park. It is expected to be operational by winter 2021. A Parks Pass is required to visit Ben Lomond National Park. Please purchase your pass online, as pass sales are not available on the mountain. https://passes.parks.tas.gov.au/ www.parks.tas.gov.au/explore-our-p/ben-lomond-national-park Image: Snowboarding on Ben Lomond in a previous snow season. 15.01.2022 Winter isn’t over. Heavy snow has been falling all day on the mountain.

13.01.2022 Ben Lomond has woken up from her summer hibernation this week thanks to the 1 in 100 year snow storm which blanketed Launceston. Tassie snow lovers and those who would normally visit mainland or New Zealand snow resorts are desperate for their annual snow fix. With the first winter system running weeks behind the regular season start, this week's big freeze was the one that we have all been hanging out for.

13.01.2022 Its finally happening!!

11.01.2022 If you are a Ben Lomond regular and rely on the public facilities whilst on the mountain, you'll be excited to hear things are progressing regarding the design and rebuild of a new facility. The Committee look forward to working with Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service to support the work of Cumulus Studio in the coming months. #benlomond
