21.01.2022 The Gradungulidae field survey has moved from NSW to NZ, very dry and too many fires. Danilo Harms, peter michalik, Cor Vink and Michael Curran are at the Canterbury Museum. Peter is dissecting a male Periogops while we watch, and some pseudoscorpions are providing entertainment.

14.01.2022 Time to find some Gradungulidae spiders in the Blue Mountians, but not before Danilo and Peter Michalik find some homemade pie and coffee. This family of spider is very unique for two reasons (that we know). The experts tell me it is the only one to make cribellate silk without combing and it uses it for both prey capture and structural lines in their webs.

09.01.2022 The Managing Director, Stuart Halse, has had a book chapter published in 'On the Ecology of Australia's Arid Zone'. Stuart's chapter talks about the subterranean fauna of the Australia's arid zone. The major difference between this chapter and most accounts of subtteranean fauna is the focus on underground habitats other than caves. The book is for anyone working or with an interest in Australias arid zone. [ 50 more words ] http://www.bennelongia.com.au//on-the-ecology-of-australi/
