17.01.2022 Tonight's maps. Thanks Gordon, thanks Bennelong.

17.01.2022 Just like Coles, Woolies, Officeworks, public transport and your favourite food place, Bennelong is now using the NSW government's covid safe check in. If you are coming to any of our events, please scan on arrival if you are pre-entered, enter on the day, or just a spectator.

17.01.2022 Remember orienteering here in 2019. Lots more water now.

16.01.2022 Due to the developing Coronavirus cluster in the Northern Beaches area and current health guidance we are postponing our annual Club picnic at Manly Dam to some time in the new year. We are monitoring the situation and will be able to make a call regarding the Summer Series event at Georges Heights closer to the date. Stay safe everyone.

14.01.2022 Early Bird Entries to The Great NOSH Footrace close this Sunday, 28 February 2021. The NOSH is on this year on Sunday, 6 June 2021.

10.01.2022 I nice write-up on rogaining.

09.01.2022 Did you know there is a junior’s training camp on in the week between The Easter carnival and NSW Champs? Heaps of fun for any kids in the right age group.

05.01.2022 SOS is back in the North and Hills. Don't forget to pre-register via Eventor this morning.

03.01.2022 Christmas 5 days entries close tomorrow (Tuesday)! Get your entry in to reserve a map on your choice of course and avoid disappointment on the day. Wed 30 Dec is a Bennelong event at Wattle Ridge, about 90 mins from Sydney. This is our first event there since the bushfires last summer. All the scrub is gone and there is now access to all the great sandstone rock features. https://onsw.asn.au/xmas-5-days

02.01.2022 It's been quite a year for Bennelong rookie Katherine Cameron. In a year half-wrecked by the coronavirus and subsequent restrictions on normal life, Katherine h...as since the resumption organised her first event (MetrO League 2 at Manly Dam), coached her first Sporting Schools program (Balgowlah North) and today set her first Sydney Summer Series course at Clontarf. We were going to say she has all bases... ahem... "covid". But perhaps let's just say that's a remarkable hat-trick / trifecta. Clontarf is one of those maps where the first thing you notice is the contours. Avoiding up-down is the key, and old hands here plan with a purpose: flat, then up in as quickly as you can, then flat, then a long downhill to the finish. Minimise climb. There was no conquering this course, the best we can determine so far - both Big Foot - being 560 from the lanky Scot (Andrew Brown), with Gill Fowler 510 topping the women. Great to see 10 scouts taking to the task with relish and getting back on time. We enjoyed superb views across the Spit, with #1 under the bridge that still raises 8x a day to let the well-heeled take their yachts in and out of Middle Harbour. This section is the start of the famous Manly Scenic Walkway. What an afternoon. Thanks Katherine, thanks BN. See more

01.01.2022 With today's announcement that Northern Beaches Council residents are locked down until midnight Wednesday, we have decided to postpone Wednesday's SSS at Georges Heights. Although the event was not within Northern Beaches LGA many of our key organising people are, and therefore are not be able to attend. NSW Health is also advising to avoid unnessesary travel. We hope to hold the event in January, probably on a Monday evening, but we have to wait until and see how things go and if COVID restrictions are lifted.
