05.01.2022 congrats to all the bennett team riders What a weekend for all that was involved, with some great results in the Australian longboard titles. There was some very impressive surfing from all the Bennett Surfboards Team riders with the entire team getting into the finals and bringing home some great results. A big congratulations to Isaac Fields and Tully White both finishing 1st in the open log and U18 girls. Tully is our newest Bennett Team member, also member of the Manly Ma...l Club, and is fast progressing in club competition, and sure to be competing on the world stage in the near future. With Isaac (Evans Head, NSW) showed he was the silent assassin in the Open Mens Loggers, posting an 18.10 heat total (out of a possible 20 points) to claim the hotly contested final. At the halfway mark, the final looked like a two-horse race between Isaac and Dane Pioli. With other team riders hot on their heels including Dane Pioli 2nd open log and 4th open mens. Dane has just joined the Bennett Surfboard Team and is still adjusting to our boards. But with consistent results in the competition leading up to this event we have big plans to help him through the next stage of his surfing career. The 31 year old is showing huge potential. One of our youngest team members Lilly Ellis also showed some great surfing talent, placing 2nd in the U18 girls and stepping it up to get 4th in the open ladies, just behind Lara Murphy, who placed 2nd in the open Ladies with some big turns. This is a first for our Bennett Surfboards team getting some consistent results. We are all very proud of the surfers and the standard of surfing that our team members are displaying at the moment. 02.01.2022 Barry still has it. Putting the finishing touches on these 60th anniversary collectible limited addition Bennett surfboards to be sold this year. Replicas of a ...Wardy 1960 shape that inspired Barry all those years ago, when he traveled to the U.S. in search of the P.U. foam technology. Coming from the 1960's, the Wardy Surfboard was made from a balsa stringer, this board is a beauty and part of surfing history, certainly one of the rarest vintage surfboards around. Below picture shows a full balsa and a P.U, they are off to be the glassed now.
