24.01.2022 Last year we brought together many Gold Coast Development Industry leaders to have their say on the Gold Coast’s skyline in a 3 part series of the last 50 years, the present and the future of the Gold Coast skyline in 50 years. Well, since then, the Coronavirus has certainly changed the world. Many Gold Coast sectors, such as tourism and dining, have been heavily impacted but are finding their feet again. The Development industry seems stable, with land and apartment sales st...rong, all government levels providing incentives for growth. We have major projects like the GCLR Stage 3A and the extension of the M1 down to Tugun providing large numbers of jobs for local workers. It also seems that Sydney-siders and Melbourne-ites are escaping and migrating to the warm shores of SE Qld. Surely the large cash spends by all government levels will slow down and the lack of international migration will eventually pinch (2019 net 210,000 people, 2020 approx. net 31,000). We bring these Gold Coast leaders back again to consider the above. 24.01.2022 The quality and detail of this delivery for Racing Queensland of the Sunshine Coast Turf Club are for all to see. We captured this information from our Riegl miniVUX system which is carried by a drone and records data using LiDAR technology. The imagery was also captured simultaneously which enabled high-resolution aerial imagery and coloured point clouds. One of the benefits of LiDAR technology over imagery reliant drones is the ability to accurately survey the terrain even ...in vegetated environments. This project used a combination of aerial and ground surveying to produce a highly reliable and cost-effective Detail Survey over a very large site. See more

23.01.2022 Happy 21st Stephen! This year sees Gold Coast Director Stephen Mavor celebrate his 21st anniversary at Bennett + Bennett. In his early years at B+B, he could be seen on many of the large Gold Coast highrises as a construction surveyor such as Chevron Renaissance, Ephraim Island & the Oracle.... Stephen advanced to be the Survey Manager at our Gold Coast office and then stepped up as a project manager, becoming a business partner in July 2006. By July 2011, Stephen was a Director at Bennett + Bennett so is also celebrating ten years in that position. Today Stephen project manages many of our land-based projects such as Cova Hope Island (for Frasers Property), Stone Creek, Upper Coomera (TJ International), Oyster Cove, Helensvale (Oyster Cove Projects Pty Ltd), Oakview Rise, Pimpama (Baycrown) Pimpama City & Central, Pimpama (Rix developments) to name a few; On top of that his highrise titling knowledge is vital. He manages many of our construction titling projects. Stephen is well respected by his business partners and clientele and is a leading expert in subdivision and titling. 18.01.2022 Bennett + Bennett - Narrabri to North Star (N2NS) POSI and Resumption Surveys Bennett + Bennett’s JV submission was successful in winning the POSI and resumption surveys for the N2NS stage of the Inland Rail. This is the smaller but first package to come out and is directly contracted by Inland Rail, which is a good win for the local survey industry with our JV partner and local company SMK Surveys (Mr Ralph Kinsella) working on the Northern Section of the N2NS.... The winning constructor for the main construction works is a partnership known as Trans4m Rail involving See Civil and John Holland group and they will engage their surveyor for the construction works in the near future name TBC. Well done to our Infrastructure Manager Mr Matt Strahley for picking up these works and you can see on the attached photo that Matt is right at home enjoying the Moree and region weather and hospitality. Matt has spent plenty of time in the region and no doubt will catch up with his Grandparents, local farming legends, Don & Moya Quast.
