16.01.2022 Pioneers of the Surfboard manufacturing industry. Who can name them all?

13.01.2022 Some recent custom work we did for the legends over at HiFraser who gifted this board to one of their lucky employees! We made some digital mock ups for them using their logos and gave them a few options of how this board could look. We tied it all together matching the blue from their logo to the bottom colour and finishing it off with a clean orange pinline referencing back to that logo again, giving the guys a completely custom one off board that they were absolutely stoked with. Shaped by Steele Lewis Glass by @dustnglass @ Brookvale, New South Wales, Australia

13.01.2022 Introducing the newest edition to the Bennett lineup The Spade the original board was shaped by Geoff McCoy during the late 60s transitional era and features a rolled bottom, slight S deck rocker with 50/50 rails. We havent changed much with the new version, just toned it down a bit. Testing begins this week and the board will be available to demo soon!

11.01.2022 VINTAGE BOARD OF THE WEEK It's been a while since we posted our last vintage board of the week. But with a little bit of time on our hands we decided to dig through the dusty corners of the factory and pull out some history to share with you. This week we bring you a two for one post. These two boards were built 20 years apart an both feature some beautifully crafted nose & tail blocks built from old fin panel scraps. It's somewhat rare to see nose and tail blocks on a board... so it's pretty cool to see two boards built so far apart that have similar features. It's also pretty rare to see a single fin longboard from 1983! This was a time when surfboards were still getting shorter, the thruster had just been invented and surfed to victory at the 1981 Bells Rip Curl Pro and performance was at the forefront of surfboard design. At that time Bennett Surfboards were still making cruisy single fin longboards capable of outperforming the shortboards on smaller days. We also made a lot of the popular thrusters throughout the 80's, 90's and 2000's but always have been building longboards from the 50's right through to now. We still specialise in building beautiful, functional wave riding craft and we are still doing tail blocks!

03.01.2022 A special moment at Bennett's over the weekend. 11 months ago these two young men (Sam on the left, Jessy on the right) pulled Tim out of the water after a bad fall whilst surfing at North Curly. If it wasn't for these two he would not be here today. In appreciation from Tim and Bennett Surfboards they were given these two magical boards.... This is a classic example of surfers looking after people in the water. This is the Aloha Spirit of surfing. Thank you so much from all of us.
