15.01.2022 Putting down lucerne mulch a few weeks ago I just love this stuff it is top notch weed suppressor releases nitrogen into the soil as it breaks down as well as other nutrients and its the most economical mulch Ive found if you purchase in bales direct from the farmer or rural supplies shop get it on ya garden

13.01.2022 Day 2 the weedpile strikes back

12.01.2022 Removal of an old cypress that was clogging my clients pipes. Planting any tree right next to the house is frought with danger, some worse than others but apart from clogging pipes they can be a falling hazard, rot foundations or even lift them! Reason enough to be mindful when planting close to your home.

11.01.2022 Got ANTS? One of the common things I see at this time of year in gardens is ants on plants shrubs and trees. Because of the transition from cold winter to warm spring sap flow in plants is at its highest and this attracts scale that feed on the sap. In return ants feed off the excretion of the scale which is a sweet substance called honey dew . If left untreated scale can affect the health of plants and even in some cases kill them .Treat the scale with an organic product such as eco oil and this will control the ants in turn. So if you see ants in your garden have a closer look and you might find an even bigger pest behind them!!

11.01.2022 Amazing what a bit of mulch can do

07.01.2022 This nasty looking stem on a rose bush is suffering from a condition called die back its the direct result of incorrect pruning and very common in gardens on trees and shrubs where proper pruning technique hasnt been used. If this isnt dealt with it can become an environment for fungal diseases and insects or even worse it can keep spreading along the stems although rare and kill plants. Leave the pruning to an expert and give us a call!! 0429032517

02.01.2022 Although a little hard to see this vine is one of the worst weeds I come across it is highly invasive and almost impossible to eradicate its a wild passionfruit vine and comes from buying grafted passionfruit plants once the top dies this is what youre left with. So do not buy grafted passionfruit plants from the nursery.
