23.01.2022 Hi Everyone, A little housekeeping for Bennison ARC. Could everyone please be aware that when you use the sand arena on a casual basis (as a key holder or key holders guest), you MUST complete the log book that is available with details as listed to comply with social tracing. You MUST use the hand sanitizer before and after unlocking the padlock and gate. If you are not a key holder, a $10 fee must be paid into the honesty box that is attached to the fence. ... There is to be NO lungeing on the arena and a sign will be put back on the fence in regard to this. You MUST wear a helmet and riding boots at all times when you are mounted. These requests are not to put people off but to make sure that everyone who uses the arena complies with the rules set up by BARC, CIPC and the Bennison Reserve COM. Thanks BARC Inc See more

23.01.2022 POSTED 4th AUGUST INTERIM ADVICE FROM HRCAV We are currently awaiting advice from the Victorian government on a number matters relating to care of horses during stage 4 restrictions and will post a detailed update as soon as possible. Stage 3 restrictions for regional Victoria come into effect on Thursday. The restrictions will mirror the those which, until recently, applied to the Melbourne metro area. A detailed update will be available but in the meantime you can view ho...w Stage 3 restrictions will affect your equestrian activities by reviewing the previous advice posted on 13th July (see below). Very briefly: REGIONAL VICTORIA Clubs may not conduct rallies, activities or events. Indoor arenas closed. Only owners may use the indoor arena. Outdoor sport facilities, including Club grounds, may remain open however, the Club is required to implement a booking system to ensure numbers meet venue limits. Riders may ride in groups of two with a maximum of 10 on the grounds unless 100m can be maintained between each pair. No sharing of equipment or facilities. Club rooms closed. Toilets can open. You can travel to care for your horse. Horse riding off property is a permitted activity for personal exercise and horse welfare purposes however, there is a limit of two people and an instructor if required for safety reasons. Stay local. If you can exercise your horse at home you should not take the horse off property for exercise. Instructors can visit your property to give lessons.

17.01.2022 There was a break in at Bennison grounds Sat night. The BARC shed was broken into & honesty box tampered with. Police are investigating. If members have seen anyone or anything suspicious please let your committee know.

14.01.2022 Hi BARC members, Thankyou to Michelle Boddy, Laurel Truscott,Ebony Jones, Darcy Nicoll, Deb & Ebony Clavarino for all their hard work this morning at the grounds. We just need to erect signage & will be ready to open. The Bennison Reserve COM will re-open the grounds tomorrow at 9am (Sunday 17th May). Riding areas are restricted to the 2 arenas, XC bush tracks & the grassed area between the water & bank jumps.... The other grassed areas(bunting in place) are closed due to the wet conditions. Sheds, wash bay, picnic tables & club equipment must not be used. We all need to comply with the Govt regulations re social distancing & group sizes. Please help us to keep everyone safe. Please sanitise your hands before & after handling the arena gates and also when signing the attendance book. Name, date, time, ph: number are required. 10.01.2022 Our new carpark is finished & looks spectacular!!! We do need a couple of fairly urgent jobs done today & tomorrow if anyone is free- the front entry gate & the grass arena gate need to be rehung a bit higher(so they don’t scrape) & the old seat materials need to be moved across behind sheds.
