Our private Facebook group is just that, a private place just for parents and carers to share, inform, discuss, learn and embrace our wonderful community of Benowa parents. We have a trading Tuesday where you can tout your own business or recommend a fantastic business, or do you have something school related to sell? Looking for something school related to buy? The BENOWA SS PARENTS private Facebook Group ...is a secure place where the parents of the children attending Benowa State School can network, communicate, shout out, relate and help each other. While this Group is important for our School community, it is also important to us as parents to create and encourage our own community of parents supporting each other. 25.01.2022 9 August commemorates the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples. It is celebrated around the world and marks the date of the inaugural session of the Working Group on Indigenous Populations at the United Nations in 1982. This year’s theme is COVID-19 and indigenous peoples’ resilience. The event will feature a panel discussion on the innovative ways indigenous peoples continue demonstrating resilience and strength in the face of the pandemic while confronting grave threats to their survival. The aim is to highlight how the preservation and promotion of indigenous peoples’ traditional knowledge and practices can be leveraged more fully during this pandemic and build back stronger.

Held at the Benowa State School, the Dogs on the Green Markets are the place to be when it comes to pampering your fur-babies. Come along and enjoy a great day out with your pups and kids. The markets are dog friendly (and child friendly!), with free entry and free parking. ... Come and enjoy lots of stalls with doggy treats, clothing, skincare, accessories, artists, photography and lots more. If you are needing to order uniforms for your children, please do so via the Flexischools App (download from your app store) or by phone. By donating to the P&C Building Fund, your contribution will go directly towards the construction, maintenance and improvement of buildings and fixtures at our school. From running awesome events to securing grants and purchasing new technology just to name a few. ... The P&C make things happen, but to do this, we need your help. Come and join our awesome crew. You can put your hand up to lend a hand at events, or to help out in the Tuckshop. You don't have to come to our meetings to be a part of the P&C, there are so many more ways in which you can lend a hand. Plus volunteering is fun! You meet new people, make new friends, learn new and interesting skills and you get to be a part of something bigger. You get to see and experience what can be achieved by a few, to see the excitement on our children's faces and hear the pride in their voices. International Youth Day 2020 will be commemorated with a podcast organised by the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth (UNMGCY), which will be released on 12 August 2020. For this year’s theme, Youth Engagement for Global Action, they will ...be discussing how the engagement of youth is enriching local, national and global institutions and political processes.
