19.01.2022 Hi all! Well, I'm quite excited (and a little self-conscious!) but I was the subject of a photography podcast, talking about film, cameras and a love for photography in general. Even if you hate the sound of my voice as much as I do, please take a look at Taya's pod and support a talented, young artist :) https://photographycourse.net/episode-10-interview-with-b/

16.01.2022 Rabbits // Leica M5 // Fujicolor Pro400h // @tetenaluk // One of the best things about film photography is completely forgetting what you shot, then looking at your negatives months later and being confronted by your worst nightmares. Oh, and Happy Easter!

11.01.2022 Fare thee fucking well 2020. Worst year in so many senses, but not least photographically! Welcome to my #bestnine - one of which is a bad iPhone pic of a camera. Twenty nine posts and 707 likes. On the plus side, my family of cameras grew (as well as my actual family, but that’s not why we’re here!), and I finally developed colour film. Now to drink lots and drown 2020 in booze as quickly (and responsibly) as possible, and here’s to a healthy, happy, successful new year full of photography and photographic adventures #happynewyear #newyear #fuckoff2020

09.01.2022 Roses // Mamiya RB67 // @kodak Portra 400 // ONLY BLOODY DEVELOPED AND SCANNED BY ME! It’s no exaggeration to say that ever since I started getting interested in film photography I’ve wanted to develop my own colour film. Today, finally, I took the plunge and had a go, using @tetenaluk chemicals. Obviously, this frame doesn’t spots off the colours brilliantly they well come!) but I am pretty chuffed with the results.

08.01.2022 New Life. Took a trip up to Nerriga (thanks @phils1185) to take a look at the forests recently affected by bushfire, hoping to find a little new growth. I’ve wanted for a while now to do a mini project on rebirth and regrowth. And with the fires that went through this region, and the rains that followed, I had hoped to find some signs of new life. Of course, you stand out like anything, even when you think you’re in the middle of nowhere, when you have a Mamiya RB67 medium fo...rmat film camera, affectionately known as ‘The Brick’. A truck driver, with a water tank as his load ironically enough, stopped to chat, and informed me the new growth, climbing like britches up the trunks of the trees, was called ‘hairs on your legs ‘. We both took a moment to admire the glorious colours - so many shades of green, deep reds vibrant yellows - where only weeks ago this was only black, and on he went. Even as times continue to seemingly get worse, there is always hope. I hope so anyway. @natgeoyourshot Mamiya RB67, Kodak Portra 400, dev+scan @rewindphotolab See more

01.01.2022 Excited to scan and print this properly. Not convinced I’ve got the negative right, but give. This is an iPhone ‘scan’ over an iPad, surely it’s got to at least get better?! @ilfordphoto HP5+ // 4x5 Toyo
