04.01.2022 Brick veneer home built mid 90’s. This is a masonry veneer tie 4.5metres from the sub-base. You can see the tie has bent due to frame shrinking (20mm over 4.5metres) This is why bricklayers are required to leave space on the underside of a window and the brick sill. Otherwise the window frame will bow and cause the sill to lift.
