16.01.2022 It was nice to finally see Bensons Quicksilver (Hugo) out at his first competition at WASJA last weekend! Even though the show was cut short due to weather conditions it was lovely to catch up with many friends who I haven’t seen for quite some time. Thank you to Shane Giblet for all the jumping training and to Natalie Mitchell for the flat work training with Hugo over the past few months. 16.01.2022 Great to see David Cameron riding Bensons Femme Fatale (Fifi) in competition again. Thank you to all the committee members for starting and organising the YRC Show Series. Fifi came 1st in the 1.35 m class, jumping at the YRC Show, held at the Sydney Polo Club, 2 weeks ago. Fifi is a half sister to our stallion, Bensons Quicksilver that’s standing at stud this year. 15.01.2022 For Sale - Bensons Quicksticks Weanling Filly DOB: 11/12/19 (Quintus / Yalambi’s Val D’Isere/ Levenmouth Impeccable)... Bensons Quicksticks (Queenie) is the first foal by our striking Stallion Bensons Quicksilver. She is a lovely modern Warmblood boasting bloodlines of Quintus, Caretino’s Boy and Pilot along with Thoroughbred and Cleveland bay late in her lines, suiting her to show jumping as well as eventing. Queenie is a leggy filly with excellent conformation, outstanding temperament and striking movement! Queenie’s Sire, Bensons Quicksilver is currently at the beginnings stages of being campaigned. He is showing lengthy movement and a great work ethic with quick learning skills. He has free jumped to 1.25m showing plenty of scope and is quickly moving up the heights in his jumping trainings under saddle. Quicksilvers half-sister (Bensons Femme Fatale) is one of Bensons Sporthorses competitive jumping mares in Sydney and is currently jumping 1.45m. Queenie’s Dam, Bensons Hy Vista was one of our competition horses before becoming a brood mare for our breeding programme. She has jumped to 1.20m easily with a correct jumping style and a flamboyant back end. She is a tall deep bodied mare who has produced three impressive foals for Bensons Sporthorses and has carried over her lovely temperament to them all. Bensons Quicksticks half-sister, the talented Bensons Cat Balou (by Balou Du Rouet), is currently jumping Mini Prix with a young rider in Western Australia. She has either won or placed in most of her classes. Cat Balou jumped at the Patrons Cup in 2019 and had 3 clear rounds, with the final jump off being 1.35m. 12.01.2022 David Cameron riding Bensons Femme Fatale (Fifi) has had 2 firsts and a second in her last 3 starts competing in great company over the past two weeks in NSW. Starting with winning the the Keenden Contracting Open 1.30m - 1.35m class at Waratah Showjumping at SIEC with a fabulous double clear round in a jump off time of 50.25 seconds. Five days later taking out the win in the Two Phase Open 1.40m class at the YRC Show Series and then one day later the pair came second in th...e 1.35m class. Great result Dave. You are both on fire. 09.01.2022 We are excited to finally say Bensons Sporthorses has a website! It’s something that I have wanted to build for a while. Our clients have come from around Australia to purchase from Bensons Sporthorses and it is with great pride that we watch and hear of their successes. When I looked back and collated many of the photos of our mares, and their progeny I realised how it has been a wonderful journey for our family to breed and follow our horse’s successes. My daughters and I... still follow and watch the videos that are made each week from our clients horses that are sent to me with pride. We are only a small stud but it’s been fun. We would like to thank Tina Larcombe-Day from Secret Womens Business who took so many stunning photos of our stallion Bensons Quicksilver for the website. We would also like to thank Eric Loyd from Eric Loyd Photography who has taken so many action shots of our horses over the years. Some we have purchased but many have also been happily donated from the owners of our horses to add to our website, so thank you friends. Finally I would like to thank my daughter Daisy and her partner Josh for their incredible help and expertise with our website presentation and ‘flow’. 09.01.2022 You would think that these two photos would be the same two horses. But no. The first photo is Bensons Quantum Leap (Floyd, left) catching up with his grey half-sister, Bensons Femme Fatale (Fifi) in the wash bay at David Cameron and Tallara Cameron’s at Redleaf Lodge in Wilberforce, New South Wales. Floyd was purchased by Katrina Silk, a few months ago, from Bensons Sporthorses, and has been having a few weeks at a time at David’s property to have some ground work training.... The second photo was taken yesterday. It’s our grey stallion, Bensons Quicksilver (Hugo, left) in the wash bay at Shane Gee's property, with Shane’s gelding, Bensons Verismo (Jet). Hugo had just had another jumping lesson with Shane and Ashleigh Giblett and was catching up with all the jumping technique gossip and tips from Jet. 07.01.2022 Bensons Sporthorses is delighted to announce that Bensons Quantum Leap (aka Floyd) has been sold to Katrina Silk. Floyd is Out of Noblewood Park Charlie, by Quintus. He is the full brother to Bensons Quicksilver who we have retained as a stallion. We are thrilled with his new home in NSW. Floyd will be spending some time in David Cameron's stable, so he will be reunited with his half sibling Bensons Femme Fatale ( Fifi). We wish Katrina the best on her journey with this beautiful horse.

Whether you have known Liz through years of friendship, shared a passion for horses, became friends through our children, built meaningful connection through a shared experience or a chance encounte...r, thank you for enriching Lizzie’s life. Liz’s strength, resilience and tenacity through life’s experiences were heartfelt, inspiring and truly remarkable. She kept our family grounded, reminding us that something could be learnt from any situation, a positive perspective could be taken or a silver lining just waiting to be found.
