24.01.2022 Mbps, CPU, GPU, and NTFS may just look like a small collection of random letters but they mean very specific and important things when it comes to computers. We here at Bentech want to help demystify the computer speak and make it easier for you to feel confident when you are talking about your computer. We will be posting an ongoing series on our website breaking down different computer jargon, internet speak, and other slang associated with technology. In this first article... we break down terms associated to your computer such as the difference between bits and bytes and what different file systems are are why it matters We hope you enjoy and please let us know if there are any other terms you would like explained https://bentech.com.au/acronyms/computerspeak/

Simply call Apple and they will organise the repair for you, but we are always happy to help out - if you want to, you can to bring the MacBook into us we can definitely help you get it all sorted so it looks brand new again. If you have any questions, or think your MacBook may be eligible for the program, you are welcome to call us or pop in any time and we will be happy to check out for you :) -Your Bentech Team

12.01.2022 I LOVE this creative solution! David brought in his Macbook Pro running slow and booting to Safe Mode all the time. We figured out the issue was the Shift key was damaged and the Mac thought it was held down all the time. If you hold Shift down when booting, Mac OS boots straight into Safe Mode and runs terribly. A new keyboard assembly was going to be around $1000 and David didnt want to spend that kind of money right now. Techies figured out that if you also hold the Option key at boot it tricks the Mac into thinking youre hold Shift+Option which is invalid and simply ignores the keys and boots normally! Fantastic solution to a super annoying problem and saved a huge bill at Xmas :)

12.01.2022 Any geek on your shopping list will love these presents!
