18.01.2022 Arthur Street Update: this week saw the commencement of topdressing the square before cross rolling starts in the next few weeks. As last season was our first year on the new square, we are very fortunate to have arguably the best table in the area, with the outfield to be a huge focus this year also! Can’t wait to get back out there in 20/21! #cricket #bentleigh #godees #home

He came runner up for Cricket Victoria Volunteer of the Year Award in the 2018/19 season. His three sons Morgan, Tully and Dylan have all played for the club, with Mick coaching Tully’s U12s side to a Grand Final win in 2013/14. 10.01.2022 Over 4 years ago, we set about supporting and challenging the juniors of our Club to push through the to senior ranks. Round 2 of the 2017/18 season saw our Sunday XI play a team of 6 father and sons together in what is believed to have been a first for the club. Since that time our club has been going from strength to strength and each season more and more juniors are stepping into the senior teams and playing key roles as well. In fact from the photo from that game in 2017,... 2 (Alan Abraham and Tully Foot) have played in our first XI and are still at the club in one way or another. Last season we had the rare honour of Madeleine Jansz playing juniors on a Friday night, playing with her Dad in Senior Mens on the Saturday and then with her mum in the Senior Womens on the Sunday, as well as junior girls during the week. This weekend we again have a momentous occasion for the club, our Sunday Red team will feature 3 of the 4 Foot's at the club, Luke and Steve McGinness playing together for the first time, Harrison and Jason Barnes playing together again, and what is thought to be another first for the club, husband and wife team of Louise and Adrian Adams will play together. Their son James is a Junior Blaster this season, let’s look forward to celebrating him coming up through the ranks in years to come. We hope that as many people get down to the Sunday game to be part of the experience and help support the next batch of club players.
