14.01.2022 Confession: I have been trawling hashtags on funstagram #amalfiweddings #lagadicomo etc etc for the perfect image that encapsulates the Bentwood & Borrowed ethos. Turns out that photo was right under my nose...BP (business partner)/Beeps (BP for short)/Spinny (Spinny>Spanna>Anna) totally and utterly drop dead gorgeous way back in 2012, before we started B&B. 13.01.2022 Stop....it....!! We meet for a coffee a number of times in the lead up to the wedding - send lots of texts & emails - we share laughs, swap stories, get to have a peek at the dresses - we hatch ideas & become friends. Then the wedding week comes round and we work ridiculously hard to orchestrate moving flowers from the city to the country and piece together the plans we hatched months prior. Then we get to see THIS!!!! Our newest friend-looking absolutely jaw-droppingly beautiful and, if we’re honest, we shed a few happy tears Huge congratulations again G&J. 08.01.2022 Flashing way back to 2012 to Ali (& Jock )’s wedding overlooking the vines Padthaway, SA. Pre-pinterest, pre-instagram so was really fun to create a completely individual event that set the mood for a ripping party!! It’s so easy to get caught in the trap of trends but what we love to do is keep that fresh vibe but add a really individual spin on each event through the flowers. It’s how each element of a wedding/party comes together that makes the event memorable - it’s the feeling, rather than the look.
