24.01.2022 Sapphire Care Foundation are having their annual Gala to raise money in support of Benwerren. A lovely way to spend Valentines Day. If you are in a position to be able to support this event we would love to see you there.

We heard inspiring stories from Benwerren, The Childrens Sanctuary and Anam Cara about the difference... the Foundation has been making to women and children in need. $65,000 was raised to enable us to continue to make a difference. 24.01.2022 Benwerren is excited to collaborate with Anchor Inc in a new pilot project, Moving Forward, to try and do more for women and children who are homeless. We are grateful to Sapphire Care Foundation who are helping fund this project to provide supported transitional housing to families doing it tough. Please pray for our families that they feel held, heard and valued as they navigate such difficult times.

17.01.2022 A huge thank you to Jenny Stokes and her team of quilters at Quilts for Orphans who have donated 26 quilts to Benwerren. We look forward to being able to gift some to our families as well as have them be a welcoming comfort in our rooms.

16.01.2022 At the beginning of the year Benwerren planned a Friends of Benwerren working bee for this Saturday, May 16. We had not expected to be able to continue with the event due to COVID19, however with the recent changes to restrictions, we can allow a limited number of people to attend. The Working Bee will run from 10am -1pm. If you are wanting to offer your help, please call the office on 59671021 to register your interest. Please note physical distancing rules apply.

14.01.2022 School Holidays are over and we are launching head first into another term! How glorious was that holiday fun at Benwerren. A big shout out to the 6 lovely families that hung out with us.

09.01.2022 Yesterday Benwerren said our final farewell to Steve and Andrea as they packed up their little house and headed back to NSW. We have loved having them as a part of our team - we will miss their hard work, can-do attitudes and heart for our families. We wish them all the best.

08.01.2022 We are doing things a little differently at Benwerren... Benwerrens COVID-19 Response The health, safety and wellbeing of our families, volunteers and staff is of the highest importance at this time. For this reason Benwerren has put its Time Out and Holiday Programs on hold. We are using the property in other ways to support women and children while operating within the changing government restrictions. The office continues to be open for reduced hours to take your call...s. If we are not there when you call, feel free to leave a message and we will ring you back. As we all retreat to our homes, we encourage you to take time out, read a book, do a puzzle, reach out to a neighbour or a friend through the phone or a letter, or learn to knit! 06.01.2022 Check out Benwerrens newly painted Op Shop! Brightens up Main Street. Thank you to the team at Elishacare who did an awesome job. Thank you also to the couple who donated the paint. The shop has reopened Monday to Saturday thanks to the awesome team of volunteers. (Social distance rules apply).

06.01.2022 Our friends of Benwerren on Saturday tested the theory that volunteers live longer. We applaud them for their dedication to science. We havent pictured all of our wonderful workers, but we value each of you. Nothing like getting stuff done and hanging out with good people.
