17.01.2022 Not exactly broad acre farming but got three hectares of oats sewn before the second lot of rain came down.

16.01.2022 Hogweed is the subject for this week. Just sprayed two paddocks with Gibberellic acid and urea. Left a strip I sprayed to see if there is a difference in about 6 weeks. Hogweed scheduled to be smoked in two weeks. Will post the results in six.

14.01.2022 So the left welding glove gets a bit of a hammering when I weld. I’m not the only one however. Did you know you can buy a pair of left welding gloves?

12.01.2022 It appears there is a shortage of Agtrynne this year as the active ingredient is in short supply. If your supplier has some in stock you may want to grab it while you can. Otherwise an Ecopar and MCPA mix seems to be a good (tho expensive) alternative.

12.01.2022 Emergency 2 strand electric fence whipped up over the weekend. There was subsidence in the paddocks. The fence was needed to make the paddock safe for horses.

12.01.2022 Just about finished this stallion fence. 1.6m high, pine and steel posts every 1.5m, 4 plains, 900mm netting, 2 hot wires and a folded w strap top rail.

12.01.2022 Managed to get the job finished and the gear packed onto the trailer just as the rain started.
