20.01.2022 Todays scores indicate that the second half of the comp had it much better than the early starters. Liam Wales-Brown showed that a good timed comeback is the secret as he improved in the running to post 23 the back nine and 39 overall to account for all comers. David Jeffrey put in a solid effort of 38 to win Div 1 ahead of raffle winner Col Peattie who posted 37. Don't forget next week is a 7am shotgun start. Balls went back to 32 c/b. Congrats to all winners.

18.01.2022 A very enterprising round by David Kirk today as he had the booster rockets fully charged on his way to a scorching 49 pts to be the clear conqueror of all. Out of towner Rodney Rutherford held on for victory in Div 1 with 39 pts. Captain Kirk and co-pilot Terry Lawrence took out the 2 ball with 83 ahead of the GGs, Neal and Pridue on 76, Balls went to 35 c/b.

16.01.2022 The Midweek Flexicomp this week can be renamed the Liam Wales Brown show, with Liam putting on a clinic for his mates and winning with 43 points. There was a count back for second, with Mat Janissen prevailing over Rob Sutherland on 40 points. Special mention to David Jeffrey who shot 39 points to celebrate his birthday yesterday, to be just out of the top spots! The course is very busy at the moment so please be patient of other social golfers and call to book if you can! Flexicomp players, please put your name and an estimated time back to the first hole for your 12th-18th holes so we can better book social play around it, thank you

13.01.2022 A fairly wet course prompted carts for members only and play on our wet format course, where holes 1-9 only are played twice. Corey O'Connor made the best of conditions, slogging out a fine 39 points to take the Midweek Flexicomp from Mick Straker on 38 and Jackson Woodbine on 37 points respectively for the minors. Hopefully a bit of sun and wind will help the course recover in time for our next comp on Saturday Thanks to all for playing today, see you all next week!

12.01.2022 Some high scores again today made it tight at the top, however Brian Goddard did enough to poke his head in front, with a fine 41 points, to win the Midweek Flexicomp, from Peter Maeer, then Duncan Schofield, both with 39 points - separated on count backs. Balls went to 36 points this week, with Alex Beasley, our awesome apprentice greens keeper, getting the nearest the pin on 6/17th this week as well!

10.01.2022 SATURDAY COMP RESULTS 10/10/20 Lovely day today, the course is looking very good and as some good stableford scores suggest, is playing very well! Congrats to Mick Gallagher (39 points) and Neil Owen (41 points) who won their respective grades! Further congrats to this week's raffle winners, John Robson and David Kirk!... See you next week!

09.01.2022 56 players out today for the Saturday Stableford plus 2BBB Stableford, with a few great scores sorting out the winners. 47 points saw Brion Smith carry Terry Barley to the first spot with a team 50 point haul, from Father/Son duo Duncan & Harry Schofield getting the runner-up with 47 points. Individual scores were tight in 1st Div., with Michael Gallagher winning on count back from a rejuvenated Richie Hamblin, both on 40 points, whilst Adin Ramos had to settle for 3rd with 3...9 points off a handicap of 3! 04.01.2022 An update on the progress of Viney Creek Golf Club Matchplay games as of today, with the upper side of the draw down to a playoff between Darren Monroe and Neil Fletcher, whilst in the lower side we are waiting for Steve Tucker to play Darren Spriggs and Noel George to play Duncan Schofield. Please note that the games in the lower side of the draw need to be played before 23rd January so this side can catch up to the upper side of the draw. Please arrange for the games to be played, or a forfeit will be awarded by the match committee to keep the competition on track for a March 2021 completion

03.01.2022 A great turn out again today of 32 saw Rod Teasdale back up his recent good form with another win in the Midweek Flexicomp, on count back from visiting ex-member Kevin Bower, both scoring 42 points (revised card for Kevin due to incorrect daily handicap). Barbara Roughley kept them both honest with a handy 41 points to secure 3rd. Thanks to everyone also turning up this week to welcome back Darren Monroe (Marilyn to his friends ) from a major back operation, ice and rest Darren!
